A couple hours later, Karly woke up and got up and went to the bathroom and got ready and went downstairs and found Luke and
Kevin sitting in the living room.
“Hey guys,” Karly said. She sat down beside Luke and curled up against him. He wrapped his arms around her.
“Hey baby,” Luke said.
“Luke just told me everything,” Kevin said.
“I still can't believe it, the man I thought was my father turns out to not be my father and now I have a father who
wants me,” Karly said.
“Austin and Abby will be over soon, Eric will be here too, he told Hayley everything and she told him to come over
as well, she might come if she's up to it,” Luke said.
“Laura said dinner is done, we just need to serve it, it is keeping warm in the oven,” Kevin said.
“I am so nervous, I don't know how his wife and sons and daughter will take the news of him having a daughter with
another woman who was married at the time,” Karly said.
“But she was separated from her husband so technically they were broken up,” Kevin said.
“But she broke his heart when she went back to her husband,” Karly said.
“What is going to become of the will since you are not really his daughter,” Kevin said.
“I don't know, probably should have Austin talk to Jack about that,” Karly said.
“Kevin when is the next time you are working with Jack?” Luke asked.
“He only calls when he needs my help with a case, he has been handling things on his own, so I have been focusing on
the agency and the photography,” Kevin said.
“But I would say nothing at all about me having a different dad, so I can get the money from the asshole who I thought
was my father,” Karly said.
“I'm all for that,” Luke said.
“Me, too,” Kevin said.
“But probably should see what Austin and Eric say,” Luke said.
“Say about what?” Austin asked. He came in with Abby and Eric.
“We were wondering about the will, since I have a different dad and all, how does that affect the will?” Karly
asked.
“Easy, we don't say anything about it,” Austin said.
“Yeah you deserve that money after dealing with our father growing up,” Eric said.
“So, you guys are okay with not saying anything?” Karly asked.
“Of course, sis, we have your back, just don't mention anything about the will tonight,” Austin said.
“I won't,” Karly said. The doorbell rang. Karly looked at Luke. She got up and opened the door and saw Rick
standing there with a woman and two guys and a girl.
“Hello everyone come in,” Karly said. They all came in.
“Karly, this is my wife, Angela,” Rick said. She came forward and hugged Karly.
“Hello Karly, it's nice to meet you, you can call me Mom if you would like to,” Angela said.
“It's nice to meet you too Mom,” Karly said.
“This is Ethan and Kenny, your brothers,” Rick said.
“Hi sis,” Ethan said.
“Hi sis,” Kenny said.
“And your sister, Alyssa,” Rick said.
“Hi sis,” Alyssa said. She hugged Karly.
“Nice to meet you all,” Karly said. She led them to the living room where she introduced everyone.
CHAPTER 124
“I'm in agreement with Rick, Austin and Eric, you two consider yourselves a part of our family, we are now a bigger
family,” Angela said.
“Thank you, Angela, we appreciate it,” Austin said.
“Like I told Karly, call me Mom, the both of you,” Angela said.
“Okay Mom,” Austin said.
“Okay Mom,” Eric said.
“Eric, you are married right?” Angela asked.
“Yes, my wife Hayley who is Luke's sister, she's home resting,” Eric said. He tells them what she has been going
through.
“I hope she beats it,” Alyssa said.
“If anyone knows what it is like, it is Alyssa, she just beat hers last year,” Angela said.
“That's great,” Eric said.
“I have some news for you, Dad, Mom, bros and sis,” Karly said.
“What is it honey?” Angela asked.
“Luke and I are expecting, we are three months along with twins,” Karly said.
“We are going to be grandparents!” Angela said. She hugs Karly.
“Uncles!” Ethan said.
“Uncles!” Kenny said.
“Aunt!” Alyssa said.
“Do you have your godparents picked out?” Rick asked.
“Yes, Kevin is the godfather and Hayley is the godmother,” Karly said.
“Kevin, you are her best friend, right?” Rick asked.
“Yes, I am,” Kevin said.
“He is my ex-boyfriend from college, when we graduated, he had the opportunity to go to Paris for a job internship
for photography, we did not want to do long distance and I couldn't go with him because it was when we found out about our
mom having cancer so we broke up as friends and lost touch and then I took some models down to Miami for a photoshoot and
he was the photographer there and he was moving to New York so I hired him to be the staff photographer for the agency,”
Karly said.
“And partner at the agency as well,” Kevin said.
“Agency?” Alyssa asked.
“I own the Davis Modeling Agency, my mom started it and made me face of the agency and then I left and went to college
and then she passed away from cancer a year after I graduated from college and she left it to me in her will, I have been
running it ever since,” Karly said.
“Kevin stays here with us from time to time if I have to go out of town for business so Karly isn't alone, I own a
couple of clubs in the city and I am part owner of a couple of clubs in Miami that two friends own,” Luke said.
“He did have his own place, though, but they are kicking everyone out to turn the apartments into offices, so he's
moved in with us,” Karly said.
“Anyways let us move into the dining room to have dinner,” Luke said. They went and sat down and Karly and Abby
served dinner.
“Karly, this is delicious, did you cook this?” Angela asked.
“No, we have a cook, I do know how to cook, but Luke wanted me to be able to come home and relax after putting in a
full day at work,” Karly said.
“Karly, are you hiring at the agency?” Alyssa asked.
“You want to be a model?” Karly asked.
“Yes,” Alyssa said.
“We can always have more models on hand, is that what you want?” Karly asked.
“Yes, I want to be a model, when Dad told me you were my sister, I was excited to meet you, I have seen your pictures
from when you were a model and I wanted to be like you when I got older,” Alyssa said.
“Kev?” Karly asked.
“You are the main boss,” Kevin said.
“You are in, sis,” Karly said.
“Thank you!” Alyssa said.
“If it's okay with Mom and Dad,” Karly said. Alyssa looked at them.
CHAPTER 125
“It's okay with us,” Rick said.
“Thank you!” Alyssa said.
“Ethan and Kenny are looking for jobs too,” Rick said.
“What type of jobs are you two looking for?” Austin asked.
“We are going to college for business degrees,” Ethan said.
“I might have some openings in my company,” Eric said.
“Eric?” Karly asked.
“Karly?” Ethan asked.
“The company used to be the guy who I thought was my father, he left it to Eric in his will,” Karly said.
“It is my company now and I changed everything about it, there is nothing in that company that he put there, it's completely
changed, it is like he never owned it,” Eric said.
“It's okay, Karly, I have seen the place, it's like our father was never there, you wouldn't recognize it,” Austin
said.
“Of course, because I was never allowed there,” Karly said.
“What kind of a man was this guy,” Angela said.
“He hated Karly, told her she was a mistake and never should have been born,” Austin said.
“He said that about my daughter!” Rick said angrily.
“Yes, Mom was the only person she had growing up, he never paid attention to her,” Austin said.
“I wonder if she knew,” Karly said.
“Sis?” Eric asked.
“I wonder if she knew who my father was,” Karly said.
“She would have never gotten back with our dad,” Austin said.
“Do you have a picture of your mom?” Angela asked. Karly gets a picture and shows her and Angela covered her
mouth and gasped.
“Honey?” Rick asked.
“A year after we got married, a woman came to the door asking for you, you were out of town at the time, she didn't
give me her name and she left and I never saw her again, it was her, honey, she came to our house,” Angela said.
“Oh god,” Karly said.
“Karly was four and our father wouldn't even touch her, Mom left for a few days and left Karly with our grandmother,”
Austin said.
“She must have been wanting to get back with you, Dad, and leave him for good,” Karly said.
“But if she had divorced him, she would have lost the agency,” Austin said.
“Oh god she knew,” Karly said.
“Sis?” Ethan asked.
“She knew who my father was, that is why she went to your house, she was going to tell you about me,” Karly said.
“Karly?” Rick asked.
“Why else would she go see you,” Karly said.
“I should have made her come in and talk,” Angela said.
“You didn't know, honey,” Rick said.
“Mom is right, Dad, we could have known Karly sooner and Austin and Eric too,” Kenny said.
“I'm sorry,” Angela said.
“It's not your fault, it's that man she was married to,” Rick said.
“He was a monster,” Karly said.
“Yes, he was, we only stuck around for Karly,” Austin said.
“As soon as she left for college, we moved out,” Eric said.
“I'm glad you two were there for her,” Rick said.
“We always will be,” Austin said. Karly leaned against Luke as he held her in his arms.
CHAPTER 126
Everyone left an hour later. Kevin went to bed. Karly went to the bedroom to get ready for bed while Luke locked up the
house and came upstairs. He hugged her from behind.
“I love you my wife,” Luke said.
“I love you my husband,” Karly said.
“How does it feel baby, having a father who wants to be one and now a stepmom and siblings,” Luke said.
“Feels like a dream and I am happy,” Karly said.
“I want you to be happy because I'm happy to have you in my arms,” Luke said.
“I'm so tired,” Karly said.
“You've had a big day and evening and our babies are tired,” Luke said.
“I can't believe we are having twins,” Karly said.
“I did good huh,” Luke said.
“Oh you, get in bed,” Karly said. They got into bed and went to sleep. The next morning, Karly woke up and
got up and showered and got dressed and woke Luke up.
“Come on shadow man,” Karly said.
“Morning baby, I'm coming,” Luke said. He got up and got dressed and they went downstairs and found Kevin having
coffee in the kitchen.
“Ugh you're lucky you get to have coffee,” Karly said.
“Sorry, K, got decaf if you want it,” Kevin said.
“Not the same!” Karly said.
“It's coffee still,” Luke said.
“Doesn't have caffeine,” Karly said.
“Sorry again K,” Kevin said.
“You going separate or with us?” Karly asked.
“With you guys,” Kevin said. They went to the agency and went to her office and she sat down at the desk.
“Morning you all,” Henry said.
“Hey Henry,” Karly said.
“Hey Henry,” Luke said.
“Hey Henry,” Kevin said.
“I want to do a photoshoot for my bridal collection,” Henry said.
“Okay,” Karly said.
“Next weekend, I got the location booked,” Henry said.
“Looks like we can do it,” Karly said.
“I know you wore the first dress, but I know you are not able to wear it now,” Henry said.
“Nope, I'm not able to,” Karly said.
“Where's the location, Henry?” Kevin asked.
“Hawaii,” Henry said.
“I better ask if I can fly,” Karly said.
“Karly?” Henry asked.
“I'm pregnant, Henry, with twins, I should see if it's safe for me to go,” Karly said.
“If you can't go, I'm sure Kevin will handle it all,” Henry said.
“He'll be busy doing the photography and not oversee the shoot,” Karly said.
“Henry, best not to argue with her,” Kevin said.
“I just don't want anything bad to happen to your babies, they are precious,” Henry said.
“I'll be going with her and she has a doctor's appointment tomorrow,” Luke said.
“Good and I will understand if the doc says no flying,” Henry said.
“Kev, can you handle it all if I'm not able to go,” Karly said.
“Yeah Matt and Dana will be going too right?” Kevin asked.
“Yes, so they will help as well,” Karly said.
“Me, Matt, and Dana can handle things with Henry if you are unable to go,” Kevin said
“So, Luke, if I can't go, and he has to go, you are stuck by my side while he is gone, no trips to Miami,” Karly
said.
“Yes dear,” Luke said.
“In other news, Henry, close the door so you can hear this news,” Karly said. Henry closed the door and sat
down, and Karly told him about her new family.
CHAPTER 127
Henry sat back and looked at her and shook his head.
“Wow, that is so unreal, finding out the truth and can't talk to your mom about it,” Henry said.
“Wait a second, I have a box of my mother's stuff in storage here, I haven't been able to bring myself to go through
it, she must have kept her secret stuff here,” Karly said.
“Where's the box, baby,” Luke said.
“Storage room, next room over,” Karly said. She handed him the key and he went out the door. She looked at
Henry.
“Henry, don't tell anyone about the family thing,” Karly said.
“I won't,” Henry said. Luke came back with a box and set it on the desk and she slowly went through it and she
got out a box and looked at it.
“Baby?” Luke asked.
“It's her journal,” Karly said.
“Might have the answers you need in there,” Luke said. She flipped through it and sighed.
“It's going to take awhile,” Karly said.
“Does she have dates on the pages?” Luke asked.
“Yeah,” Karly said.
“Might check out what she wrote within a year you were born and after,” Henry said.
“That might work,” Karly said. She found the dates and started reading.
“Call my brothers, call everyone to the house,” Karly said.
“Karly?” Kevin asked.
“Baby?” Luke asked.
“It will be better to say to everyone at once,” Karly said.
“Okay, Kev, call Austin and Eric, I'll call Rick,” Luke said. Kevin called Austin and Eric. Luke called Rick.
They all left the agency and went to the house. Luke walks in carrying the box. Austin, Abby, Eric, and Hayley came in.
“Sis how you feeling?” Luke asked. He hugged her. She rested against him.
“I'm feeling stronger today, we go in the morning to see the results of my scan today,” Hayley said.
“Karly has a doctor's appointment too and she can find out if she will be about to go to Hawaii for Henry's photoshoot
so Kevin can focus on the pictures,” Luke said.
“I would go if I was still there,” Hayley said.
“But you quit, sis, and you need to focus on getting rid of that tumor, we want you around for a long time,”
Karly said.
“I know, I regret quitting, can I blame the tumor?” Hayley asked.
“You can only blame it for so much, hun,” Eric said.
“How is Ginger?” Luke asked.
“Doing good, right, hun,” Eric said.
“Yep,” Hayley said. The doorbell rang and Kevin opened it and Rick, Angela, Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa came in.
Eric introduced Hayley to them. Angela came over and hugged her.
CHAPTER 128
“Hayley, it's nice to meet you, you can call me Mom, I'm sure Eric told you everything,” Angela said.
“Yes, he did and he told me that Alyssa had a brain tumor and beat it last year, I have to say it has given me more
hope than I had before,” Hayley said.
“You're a strong woman and you will beat it,” Angela said.
“She goes in tomorrow to see the results of the scan today,” Karly said.
“Me and Alyssa can come to the hospital and be with you guys if you would like that,” Angela said.
“Yes, that would be great and thank you for making Eric a part of the family,” Hayley said.
“You're welcome and you are as well,” Rick said.
“Karly has a doctor's appointment tomorrow as well, a checkup and to ask if she can fly to Hawaii next weekend for
a photoshoot,” Luke said.
“Karly, do you have to go?” Rick asked.
“Yes if I'm able to, I'm the boss and I always go oversee the photoshoots, Kevin can't do it by himself because he'll
be focusing on the pictures since he is the photographer, there is no other choice,” Karly said.
“You will be in the same hospital?” Angela asked.
“Yes, on different floors,” Karly said.
“Her appointment is an hour later than Hayley's,” Luke said.
“I would like to be there for hers as well, I know you want to,” Karly said.
“Of course, I want to be there,” Luke said.
“Love ya, bro,” Hayley said.
“Love ya, sis,” Luke said.
“Okay, so you found Mom's journal, what did it say?” Austin asked.
“She knew the whole time,” Karly said.
“What!” Eric said.
“She knew Rick was your father?” Austin asked.
“My stepfather, your father, he had a vasectomy after you were born, Eric,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Eric said.
“Why did she lie?” Austin asked.
“She said she was ashamed that she slept with another man while still married and she felt like she broke her vows
and she feared he would destroy her if she went public or confessed to someone,” Karly said.
“Did she say why she showed up at our house?” Angela asked.
“Yeah, she wanted out of the marriage and thought Rick would help her but you answered the door, Mom, and he was not
home and she feared she missed her chance to be with Rick so she kept up with the charade that I was the daughter of her husband
and no one knew the truth and according to him, no one was going to embarrass his family, outside the house, we were the perfect
family, it was all about looks but inside the house,” Karly said.
“Felt like a prison,” Austin said.
“Me and Austin celebrated after we moved out,” Eric siad.
“Karly, we are glad to have you in our life now,” Kenny said.
“Yeah, we want to spend more time with you and Austin and Eric,” Ethan said.
“Of course,” Karly said.
“Name the time and day and place and we will be there,” Austin said.
“Can we hang out at Luke's club?” Alyssa asked.
“Babe?” Karly asked.
“Sure,” Luke said.
“Friday night, seven?” Austin asked.
“Dad, Mom?” Kenny asked.
“It's okay with us, you guys need to have sibling bonding times,” Rick said.
“We'll be there,” Ethan said.
“Do they let 18-year-olds in?” Alyssa asked.
“Yes, but we give you a special wristband to show the crew not to serve you alcohol,” Luke said.
“I know the owner,” Karly said.
“Of course you do, me and yourself,” Luke said.
“You own the club, sis?” Alyssa asked.
“Part owner when I married him,” Karly said.
“So he owns part of the agency?” Ethan asked.
“Unfortunately,” Karly said.
“Hey I never interfered with any decisions there,” Luke said.
“You almost didn't want me to hire Kevin,” Karly said.
“What,” Kevin said.
“Sorry, Kev, didn't know you well enough at the time, now that I do, I knew she made the right choice and won the argument,”
Luke said.
“Okay and it had nothing to do with me being her ex?” Kevin asked.
“That might have been a factor,” Luke said.
“But now?” Kevin asked.
“You're a great guy, Kev, I trust you, you have become like a brother to me,” Luke said.
“Same goes for me,” Kevin said.
“Okay how about some dinner?” Karly asked.
“Sounds good,” Rick said.
“Alyssa and I will help,” Angela said. They went into the kitchen and cooked dinner.
CHAPTER 129
After dinner, Austin and Eric cleaned up the kitchen with Abby and Hayley. Karly stood out back looking up at the sky. She
felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked and saw Rick. She hugged him. He held her close.
“I lost so much time with you, I wish I could go back in time and be there when your mother showed up,” Rick
said.
“I wish I grew up with you instead of that man, I can tell how much you love Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa, I lost so much
time,” Karly said.
“We have plenty of time to make up for it,” Rick said.
“I want that,” Karly said. That night Karly and Luke went to bed in each other's arms.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
They next morning, she woke up and went to the bathroom and noticed something and screamed out for Luke.
“LUKE!” Karly yelled. He came running in and saw the blood and got her cleaned up and carried her out the door
and downstairs. Kevin came out of the kitchen.
“Oh god no,” Kevin said.
“Taking her to the hospital,” Luke said. Kevin followed and they got in the SUV and went to the hospital. Kevin
found Dr. Reagan as they got her settled in a room. Karly held onto Luke crying.
“I'm here and I'm not going anywhere,” Luke said. Dr. Reagan examines her and ran some tests and left the room.
Luke held her as she cried. Kevin stood there beside them. Karly reaches for him and he held her hand.
“I'm here for both of you,” Kevin said.
“Karly,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Doc?” Karly asked.
“I'm sorry, Karly, I'm afraid the babies are gone,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Oh god no!” Karly said. Luke held her tight in his arms.
“I know you don't want to hear this, but we need to get you cleaned out,” Dr. Reagan said.
“What?” Karly said.
“Karly, you had a miscarriage and what is left of the babies needs to be cleaned out so you can have more babies in
the future, leaving all that in there might make pregnancies not possible or at least more miscarriages,” Dr. Reagan
said.
“Oh,” Karly said.
“Boys, I will bring her out when we are done,” Dr. Reagan said.
Luke nodded and kissed her forehead and left the room with Kevin. They went to the waiting room. Kevin called everyone.
Austin, Abby, Eric, and Hayley showed up at the hospital and Hayley took Luke in her arms. He cried on her shoulder.
“My babies are gone, sis,” Luke said crying.
“I know bro, we are here for you guys,” Hayley said. Rick, Angela, Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa came in. Angela
hugged Luke.
“We are all here for you,” Angela said.
“You both are not alone in this,” Rick said.
“I know what they are going through,” Hayley said.
“I thought you have a baby on the way,” Alyssa said.
“I had a miscarriage before,” Hayley said.
“She was strong, I thought she would be so upset but she went back to her normal routine because she knew we could
try again,” Eric said.
“Hayley, please tell me you have good news,” Luke said.
“I do, the tumor shrunk so they want to continue chemo hoping that will destroy it all together,” Hayley said.
“That's great news!” Kevin said.
“Eric and Hayley, thank you for letting us be there for you both,” Angela said.
“Thank you for being there for us, Mom,” Eric said.
“It means a lot,” Hayley said. They bring Karly out in a wheelchair. Luke knelt down in front of her. She
started sobbing and fell into his arms. They sat there crying together.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
CHAPTER 130
Karly sat up and saw she was in bed and she looked around and saw Luke asleep next to her. She went to the bathroom and came
out. Luke woke up and saw her.
“Morning baby,” Luke said.
“Am I still pregnant?” Karly asked.
“As far as I know why?” Luke asked.
“I guess it was a dream,” Karly said.
“You okay?” Luke asked.
“I dreamt we lost the babies,” Karly said.
“Oh baby, come here,” Luke said. She got into bed and into his arms and he held her close.
“We are going to your appointment today and you can talk to Dr. Reagan,” Luke said.
“Okay, we can't lose the babies, Luke, I don't think I could bare it,” Karly said.
“We will do whatever we can to make sure that doesn't happen,” Luke said.
“I probably should go talk to Kev, get him prepared if I'm not able to go with them,” Karly said.
“If you want, I can have Austin and Abby stay with you and I will go in your place,” Luke said.
“If the doc says no, I might have you do that,” Karly said. They got up and got ready and Karly went to find
Kevin and saw him in the kitchen.
“Hev Kev,” Karly said.
“Hey beautiful,” Kevin said.
“Okay so if the doc says no to me going to Hawaii, Luke said he will go in my place and have Austin and Abby come stay
here with me or I will go stay with him,” Karly said.
“Okay,” Kevin said.
“Okay so I will see you at the office after my appointment and I will let you know for sure,” Karly said.
“Okay, see ya K,” Kevin said. He left. Luke came in and they went to the hospital and saw Eric, Hayley, Angela,
and Alyssa in the waiting room.
“Well?” Karly asked.
“Waiting to go back,” Hayley said. She got called back. Angela sat next to Karly.
“You okay honey?” Angela asked.
“I dreamt last night that I lost the babies,” Karly said.
“Oh honey,” Angela said.
“I'm so scared,” Karly said.
“Just think positive thoughts and follow the doctor's orders,” Angela said.
“I plan on it, if Hayley recovers from this tumor, I want her back at the agency,” Karly said.
“She worked there?” Angela asked.
“Yeah, it's a long story,” Karly said. She told Angela about Hayley working there and why she quit. They looked
up and saw Eric and Hayley come out. They all stood up and looked at them.
“Well?” Karly asked.
“The doc said...” Eric said.
CHAPTER 131
“Hayley?” Karly asked.
“A miracle happened,” Hayley said.
“Sis?” Luke asked.
“It's gone,” Eric said.
“What?” Abby asked.
“The tumor is gone?” Austin asked.
“Yes,” Hayley said.
“We couldn't believe it, but they showed us the scans and where it was, empty space, no tumor there, just a normal
scan of a brain,” Eric said.
“That's amazing!” Karly said. She hugged Hayley and Eric.
“Karly, I want to come back to the agency,” Hayley said.
“Of course, you and Kevin can be my partners, since you don't like paperwork, Kevin can do the paperwork and you can
be in charge at the shoot locations, first up, Hawaii, I am sending you to Hawaii, Henry want a shoot for his bridal collection
there next weekend,” Karly said.
“Got it, babe, you going with me?” Hayley asked.
“Of course,” Eric said.
“My mom can keep an eye on Ginger when Greg is working,” Hayley said. Luke hugged his sister.
“I'm glad you're better, love you,” Luke said.
“Love you too bro,” Hayley said.
“Okay babe, time for our appointment,” Karly said.
“Mom, Alyssa?” Luke asked.
“Yes, we're coming,” Angela said.
“Hayley, you can start back tomorrow, you and Eric can spend the day celebrating,” Karly said.
“Okay,” Hayley said. Karly, Luke, Angela, and Alyssa went up to the next floor for Karly's appointment.
“Karly, Luke, hello, I'm Dr. Reagan,” Dr. Reagan said.
“I'm Angela and this is my daughter, Alyssa,” Angela said.
“She's married to Rick and Alyssa is my half-sister,” Karly said.
“Nice to meet you, I'm glad that Karly has more family,” Dr. Reagan said.
“We want to be here with them if that's okay?” Angela asked.
“Of course, you will be grandma now right,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Yes, and I can't wait,” Angela said.
“Abby will be before me, and she and Rick took Austin and Eric into the family as well as Abby and Hayley,” Karly
said.
“I can't wait to be an aunt, four babies coming,” Alyssa said.
“Let's check on these little ones,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Please do, I dreamt that I lost them,” Karly said.
“Well we will put your mind at ease, I will do everything I can to make sure these two little ones meet you all,”
Dr. Reagan said. She got the machine and started it up and they looked at the screen and saw them. Karly looked at Luke.
He kissed her forehead.
“Our babies,” Karly said.
“Heartbeats?” Luke asked. She turned on the sound and they heard the heartbeats.
“Strong heartbeats, they are just fine, Karly, I want you to get plenty of rest and no stress, might cut back on your
hours at work,” Dr. Reagan said.
“I have, only doing half days,” Karly said.
“Good keep that up,” Dr. Reagan said.
“I will, my sister-in-law just got a clean bill of health from fighting a brain tumor, so she is coming back tomorrow,”
Karly said.
“That's fantastic news!” Dr. Reagan said. She got Karly cleaned up and they made another appointment and left
the room and walked out of the hospital. She hugged Angela and Alyssa.
“Thanks for coming today,” Karly said.
“Of course, and thank you for letting us see the babies and hearing the heartbeats, I know your father wishes he could
have been there,” Angela said.
“Maybe next time,” Karly said.
“I will tell him, bye you two, take care of her, Luke,” Angela said.
“I will, Mom,” Luke said. Luke and Karly went to the office.
