They all stood there waiting for her father to open the results of the test to see if Alex is their brother.
“Dad?” Austin said.
“Dad?” Eric asked.
“It's a match, he's your brother, my son,” Rick said.
“I have a family now, growing up it was just me and my mom, Dev was the closest I had to a brother, now I have five brothers and one sister and two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law,” Alex said.
“And one late sister,” Karly said.
“What?” Alex asked.
“Dad had two daughters, me and Alyssa, she died in a car accident a few months ago,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Alex said.
“I prefer not to speak of her much after what she did,” Karly said.
“What did she do?” Alex asked. They explained everything that Alyssa had done and what she had written in her diary.
“So, she fell for Luke and worked with the two models to get with him, she planned it all,” Alex said.
“That is so messed up,” Liam said.
“She did all this to her own sister, that is definitely wrong,” Adam said.
“It would have been worse if I had been pregnant then,” Karly said.
“She was almost pregnant, we found out later that she was pregnant, we thought it was Kevin's but the doctor said she conceived a week before that day so the drugs didn't affect it,” Luke said.
“I just couldn't believe my daughter, my baby girl was capable of something like that, her mother and I couldn't believe the stuff she wrote in her diary, there was one entry that was very cryptic but we just now figured it out,” Rick said.
“What was that, Dad,” Ethan said.
“A plan to take Karly out of the picture for good and for her to become a mother to the boys,” Rick said.
“She wanted her own sister dead?” Luke asked.
“She wanted to kill my twin,” Casey said.
“How was she that far gone from our baby sister that we grew up with,” Kenny said.
“She was evil,” Ethan said.
“I'm glad she's dead, if she hadn't of died, I would have killed her,” Karly said.
“Sorry Dad,” Luke said.
“I understand how she feels about this, it is time to move on, we have a new member of the family,” Rick said.
“And in two months another one,” Karly said.
“Yes,” Rick said.
“I have decided on a name,” Karly said.
“What is it, sis?” Ethan said.
“Isabella Lynae Stone,” Karly said.
“That's beautiful,” Rick said.
“Just one baby, right?” Kenny asked.
“Yes,” Karly said.
“Okay so what all happened in Miami?” Ethan asked.
“I called Luke because I had a guy wanting to buy the club but it wasn't for sale but they wouldn't take no for an answer so they started sending threats, but I kept them at bay until Luke got there, the guy had a lot of backup and we were taking them out and then he found out where I lived and he and his second in command took Sara hostage with a bomb, but as soon as me and Luke got close, it was set off, killing her and them, they didn't know what kind of bomb they had with them,” Dev said.
“Stupid move on their part, I woke up in the hospital not knowing who I was, didn't recognize anyone, not even my parents, Paul gave me the club, crap I forgot about it, I told Paul to have someone cover it,” Luke said.
“It's going good, I might go back down,” Dev said.
“Hate for you to be alone, Dev,” Karly said.
“I'll crash with Paul,” Dev said.
“I would go back with you, but now I shouldn't, I found my family here,” Alex said.
“It's good, man, stay, get to know your dad and siblings,” Dev said.
“We will miss you, Dev, you sure you won't want to stick around for the birth of your niece or nephew, Samantha lost her sister, she might need you around,” Karly said.
“I'll just go down and check on things once a month, do payroll, you're right, Karly, I need to be here for my sister, she is all I have left of Sara, oh god,” Dev said. He breaks down crying. Luke hugged him.
“Did anyone find out who killed the guy who beat me up?” Ethan asked.
“I did some checking, you won't believe this,” Casey said.
“What is it?” Kenny asked.
“He was raised by gay parents, he had no reason to beat you up and want you dead if he supposedly had no issues with gay people if he was raised by them,” Casey said.
“Oh god,” Ethan said.
“Anyways he was running his mouth in his jail cell to the guys in there, turns out both of them were gay, he attacked them and they retaliated, so Rames and the cops said it was self-defense in the end,” Casey said.
“Self-defense by hanging him from the ceiling,” Karly said.
“Self-defense in the beating, he wanted out and hung himself from the ceiling but didn't do it right and broke his own neck from the hanging,” Casey said.
“So, in a way, he killed himself,” Ethan said.
“Yeah,” Casey said.
“Okay so that's over with and time to move on and be happy,” Ethan said. He takes Adam's hand in his and holds it. Adam links their fingers together.
“Okay who's hungry,” Karly said.
“I'll order takeout baby, you rest,” Luke said.
“Are we going to have this conversation again?” Karly asked.
“Yes we are, Karly, you are having a baby in two months, your pregnancy with the twins was high risk, I want you resting for the most part of this one, you have been through so much these past few months, dealing with me being gone and losing my memory and all that, you need to rest and relax please,” Luke said.
“He's right sis,” Austin said.
“Yeah sis,” Eric said.
“Sweetheart,” Rick said.
“Fine,” Karly said.
“I'm sorry baby,” Luke said.
“It's okay,” Karly said.
“I can cook dinner,” Alex said.
“I'll help,” Liam said.
“Okay I'll show you guys where stuff is,” Casey said. They went into the kitchen. Karly leaned against Luke.
“I love you, baby, I'm sorry if I seem a little overprotective,” Luke said.
“I understand, you don't want anything happening to me or our baby girl,” Karly said. He kissed her forehead and rubbed her stomach. He felt a kick where his hand was.
“Whoa! Hey princess!” Luke said.
“I think she knows her daddy is back with her mom,” Karly said.
“Aww! Yeah princess, Daddy's home with Mommy and he's never leaving again,” Luke said. There was another kick and Luke rubbed the area where she was kicking. Karly sighed and put her hand over his.
“I love you baby,” Luke said.
“I love you too,” Karly said.
“Dinner!” Liam said. They all went in and sat down and ate dinner.

CHAPTER 296

Rick arrived home and found Angela sitting in her chair reading a book. She looked up and saw him. She got up and came over to him and hugged him.
“Are you all right?” Angela asked.
“I'm in shock, he's my son, Alex is my son, another child I missed watching grow up, I missed watching Karly grow up, being the father she deserved, missed watching Casey grow up, he didn't get to grow up with either parent or his siblings, now Alex, he great up with just his mother and her endless stream of boyfriends,” Rick said.
“So, we have another son, family keeps growing,” Angela said.
“I don't know how many more surprises I can handle, Karly hs a name for our granddaughter,” Rick said.
“Tell me,” Angela said.
“Isabella Lynae Stone,” Rick said.
“That's so beautiful, I want to work on something for them,” Angela said.
“Okay honey,” Rick said.
“Also, I have some news,” Angela said.
“What is it, honey,” Rick said.
“I know you can't take any more surprises, but it was to me too, I'm having a baby,” Angela said.
“What, we're pregnant?” Rick asked.
“Yes, I couldn't believe it myself, the doctor said it was for sure I thought it was menopause but she said I'm too young, I mean I'm 45, the boys are in college, I mean we are like starting over here,” Angela said.
“Angela, you have no idea how happy I am, we have to tell them,” Rick said. He made some calls and they headed to Karly's house.

“He wanted all his kids here because he and Mom have news,” Karly said.
“I hope they aren't selling the house,” Ethan said.
“Why would they?” Casey asked.

“Maybe it's good news, baby,” Adam said.
“I hope it's good news, we all need happy news,” Ethan said.
“Well, we are happy right?” Adam asked. Ethan smiled and kissed him. Karly snuggled against Luke.
“I'm happy for you guys,” Karly said.
“Yeah bro, after what you went through, you found the one,” Casey said.
“I'm not letting him go, he is the one for me,” Adam said.
“So are you, I don't care to play the field, I know you are the one, my first and only,” Ethan said. Adam kissed his forehead and rested his head against Ethan's. The door opened and Austin, Abby, Eric, and Hayley came in.
“Okay the little ones are enjoying grandparent time with Peter and Barbara,” Abby said.
“Mom and Dad aren't here yet?” Eric asked.
“We're here,” Rick said. They came in and Rick introduced Angela to Alex.
“Okay, Alex, like I have told everyone else, call me Mom,” Angela said.
“Okay Mom,” Alex said. She pulls him in for a hug. Alex smiled and hugged her back.
“I'm Liam, I work at the agency, I'm staying here until I find a place instead of living in a hotel,” Liam said.
“And we have found you guys a place, Adam, Liam, Luke and I bought an apartment complex where Kevin lives, we got tired of them selling the buildings for office space which is what they did with the last apartment building he lived in which was my apartment before I married Luke, we are getting two apartments ready for you guys,” Karly said.
“Thanks guys,” Liam said.
“Um...,” Adam said.
“Adam?” Karly said.
“Well I was hoping he could live here with me?” Ethan asked.
“Yeah, I sleep better with him,” Adam said.
“You guys are sleeping together?” Rick asked.
“Rick, hush, you both got checked, both of you are clean?” Angela asked.
“Yes,” Ethan said.
“Yes,” Adam said.
“No issue with me,” Angela said.
“I guess I'll have to be okay with it,” Rick said.
“Dad,” Ethan said.
“What son?” Rick asked.
“Be happy for me,” Ethan said.
“I will, son, as long as you are happy, that's all that matters,” Rick said.
“Okay so the reason we called you all here is because we have news,” Angela said.
“You selling the house?” Ethan asked.
“Ethan!” Kenny said.
“Who said we are selling?” Rick asked.
“I just thought you would because of all the memories that are there, after all Alyssa did,” Ethan said.
“No son, we aren't selling,” Rick said.
“We're pregnant,” Angela said.
“I'm sorry, what?” Kenny asked.
“What?” Karly asked.
“Huh” Ethan said.
“What?” Casey said.
“A baby?” Abby asked.
“That's great!” Hayley said.
“I'm two months along and my doctor said things are looking great,” Angela said.
“So as of now, since Alyssa is gone, I won't be the youngest,” Kenny said.
“That's right,” Rick said.
“I'm happy for you, Mom,” Ethan said. Ethan and Kenny hugged her. Casey and Karly hug her after them. Austin, Eric, Hayley, and Abby hug her.
“It will be our brother or sister regardless of DNA,” Austin said.
“Yeah, he or she will be loved by us all,” Eric said.
“Wait so who all is actually related by blood?” Alex asked.
“Rick's my dad, different mom,” Karly said.
“I'm Karly's twin so same,” Casey said.
“Mom and Dad,” Ethan said.
“Mom and Dad,” Kenny said.
“Eric and I have a different dad, we have the same mother as Karly and Casey,” Austin said.
“We changed our last name because we hated our real father, Rick is a better dad than our real one,” Eric said.
“Tomorrow I'm going to go change my last name,” Alex said.
“I may have given birth to Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa, but in my heart, Austin, Eric, Karly, Casey, and now you, are my children, and Luke, Hayley, and Abby too,” Angela said.
“And mine and Luke's parents say the same,” Hayley said.
“Yeah me and Karly were marrying into their family and they took Austin and Abby in as well,” Eric said.
“And we consider Kevin family as well,” Rick said.
“Who is Kevin?” Alex asked.
“He is my ex from college, he works at the agency as our staff photographer with Liam, he's also my best friend,” Karly said.
“So, Luke, you are okay with her being best friends with her ex?” Alex asked.
“Yep, he's become a brother to us,” Luke said.
“He's got a girlfriend and a baby on the way, when he and I broke up, we did as friends and when he and I reconnected, I was married to Luke and we do still love each other but it's more friends type than anything else and he doesn't want to be responsible for breaking up a marriage, he met Samantha and fell in love,” Karly said.
“Samantha?” Alex asked.
“Dev's sister-in-law,” Karly said.
“Sara's sister?” Alex asked.
“Yes,” Karly said.
“He's dating her and she's having his baby?” Alex asked.
“Yes, why Alex?” Karly asked.
“Umm..” Alex said.

CHAPTER 297

Kevin laid there in bed watching Samantha sleep. He could not believe he was going to be a father. Being godfather to Kingston and Jackson helped him be prepared to be a father. He could not thank Karly and Luke enough for helping him get with Samantha. She woke up and saw him watching her. She smiled. She reached over and stroked his cheek.
“Morning handsome,” Samantha said.
“Morning gorgeous,” Kevin said.
“Have you been watching me sleep?” Samantha asked.
“Yeah, just thinking of how lucky I am to have you, how I can't thank Luke and Karly for helping us get together, we wouldn't be together if it wasn't for them, me going to Dev's house with them,” Kevin said.
“Yeah, oh god, my sister, I miss her,” Samantha said.
“I know you do,” Kevin said.
“I want to honor her,” Samantha said.
“If the baby is a girl, we will name her Sara,” Kevin said.
“That's perfect,” Samantha said. They heard someone knock on the door. Kevin got up and slipped on her boxers and went and opened the door and saw Luke and Karly standing there.
“Hey what's up,” Kevin said.
“We need to talk to you and Sam,” Karly said. Samantha came out in her robe. Amber came out dressed.
“Hi Mom,” Karly said.
“Hi sweetie, hi Luke,” Amber said.
“Hi Mom,” Luke said. They hugged her after coming in. They all sat down.
“What's going on?” Kevin asked.
“Samantha, what is your ex-boyfriend's name?” Karly asked.
“Uh, Alex, why, he works for Dev in Miami,” Samantha said.
“He's here in New York, he came up with Dev to help with Luke's clubs while Luke was out of it in Miami,” Karly said.
“Oh, is he still up here?” Samantha asked.
“Yes, he's moving up here permanently because he found his father,” Karly said.
“He did?” Samantha asked.
“He's going by the name Alex Lawson now,” Luke said.
“Lawson?” Samantha asked.
“Yeah, his mother was an ex of Rick's, after Karly's mother and before Angela,” Luke said.
“Wow, what does Angela think about this?” Kevin asked.
“He's calling her Mom,” Karly said.
“Angela is also pregnant,” Luke said.
“Wow, that's great, they deserve the happiness that comes with it,” Kevin said.
“Yeah,” Karly said.
“Anyways, we got to talking and we mentioned Kevin and who he was and that you two were expecting,” Luke said.
“Oh god,” Samantha said.
“What's wrong?” Kevin asked.
“The reason they broke up,” Karly said.
“What do you mean?” Kevin asked.
“Samantha, he said you never really officially broke up,” Luke said.
“What,” Kevin said.
“I thought the non-communication would be enough,” Samantha said.
“You didn't break up with him?” Kevin asked.
“I thought it would be implied that it was over when I never talked to him since before you and I met,” Samantha said.
“Why is that?” Karly asked.
“I saw him with another girl, I left and went to Sara's, he called and texted, I never called back, I changed my number and then I met Kevin and came up here,” Samantha said.
“He said he never gave you a reason to disappear like that,” Karly said.
“I saw him with another woman,” Samantha said
“Okay so you will have to face him and make things really official,” Luke said.
“Oh god,” Samantha said.
“Let's go and get it over with,” Kevin said. They got dressed and went to Karly and Luke's house.
“Kev?” Samantha asked.
“What?” Kevin asked.
“You're mad,” Samantha said.
“No,” Kevin said.
“Yes, you are,” Samantha said.
“No, I'm not, let's just talk with him and move on with our life,” Kevin said. They walked in and saw him sitting on the couch with Ethan and Adam.
“Hey guys,” Kevin said.
“Hey Kev!” Ethan said.
“So, you guys official?” Kevin asked.
“Yes, we are,” Ethan said.
“So official that Liam is in the next room and has to wear earplugs or headphones all the time,” Karly said.
“We've learned to keep quiet,” Ethan said.
“Yeah yeah,” Karly said.
“Hello Samantha,” Alex said.
“Alex,” Samantha said.
“I think we need to talk, don't you,” Alex said.
“Yeah,” Samantha said.
“We will be in the kitchen,” Karly said. Karly, Luke, Ethan, and Adam went into the kitchen. Kevin followed but stood at the doorway and watched them talk.
“Kev?” Karly asked.
“Yes beautiful?” Kevin asked.
“You okay?” Karly asked.
“Yeah, I guess, so where are my godsons?” Kevin asked.
“Uncle Casey and Uncle Kenny took them to the park,” Karly said. Kevin nodded and looked and saw them hugging and Samantha stood up and came over to him. She kissed him softly.
“You okay?” Kevin asked.
“It's good, we both got closure and officially ended things so I'm all yours,” Samantha said.
“Let's go home gorgeous,” Kevin said.
“Bye guys,” Karly said.
“Bye beautiful,” Kevin said. He and Samantha left and went back to the apartment and told his mother everything.

CHAPTER 298

Luke woke up the next morning and saw Karly getting ready to go. He sat up and smiled at her.
“Sneaking out on me baby?” Luke asked.
“No, I was just letting you sleep before the boys woke up, I will see you later,” Luke said. She came over and kissed him deeply. He cupped her face.
“I love you,” Luke said.
“I love you too,” Karly said. He kissed her stomach and rubbed it and she went out the door. He got up and showered and changed and went to the boys room and saw them awake and kicking their feet.
“Hey little guys, quality time with Daddy,” Luke said. He got them changed and carried them downstairs to his office and put them in the playpen with toys.
“Hey Luke,” Alex said.
“Hey Alex, what's up?” Luke asked.
“Trying to get used to things, like you being my brother-in-law, having siblings and these two little guys being my nephews,” Alex said.
“You will fit right in,” Luke said.
“I hope so,” Alex said.
“You and Samantha get closure?” Luke asked.
“Yeah we did, I can move on,” Alex said.
“Who was the girl she saw you with?” Luke asked.
“She saw me hugging another woman, she didn't know it was my mom, she never met her because my mom was always traveling, I should have introduced them since she was in town but I never got the chance because she left me,” Alex said.
“So, she knows it was your mom now?” Luke asked.
“Yeah and she felt like an idiot for not talking to me or anything, but she's moved on with Kevin and having his baby and happy and that's all I want for her,” Alex said. The doorbell rang. Luke looked at him.
“Watch the boys,” Luke said. Alex nodded and Luke went and opened the door and saw Delia there.
“Delia, what are you doing here?” Luke asked.
“I'm sorry, Luke, I just wanted to check up on you and see how you were since you came back up here,” Delia said.
“I'm better, I got my memories back so I'm back to normal and ripped up the divorce papers,” Luke said.
“That's great!” Delia said.
“Thank you for pushing me to come home,” Luke said.
“I knew you belonged here, with your wife and baby on the way,” Delia said.
“And my twin boys,” Luke said.
“See, you had a family here, couldn't keep you from them,” Delia said.
“Luke, boys are fussing,” Alex said.
“Alex?” Delia asked.
“Delia, hey what brings you here,” Alex said.
“Came to check on Luke to see how he was doing after he left Miami,” Delia said.
“I better go check on my sons,” Luke said. He went and picked them up and brought them out.
“Oh, my goodness, they are handsome little guys,” Delia said.
“Yes, they are, this is Kingston and Jackson,” Luke said.
“Strong names,” Delia said.
“Yep,” Alex said.
“So, Alex, you moving up here?” Delia asked.
“Yes, I found my father, and he's Luke's father-in-law, Luke's wife is my sister, I have five brothers too and two sisters-in-law, a stepmother, three nephews, two nieces, another niece on the way via Luke and his wife and my sister Karly, and a nephew on the way as well via my brother Austin and his wife Abby,” Alex said.
“Your family has grown from just your mom,” Delia said.
“Yes, it has and I am happy, I found Samantha,” Alex said.
“You did, where was she?” Delia asked.
“She left me because she saw me hugging another woman and she thought I cheated, she is dating a new guy and having a baby with him, the woman I was hugging was my mom, she didn't know her and she was so upset that she just left, we talked and got closure,” Alex said.
“That's good that you guys got that,” Delia said.
“Delia, would you like to go grab a drink and talk?” Alex asked.
“Sure,” Delia said.
“Luke, you good?” Alex asked.
“I'm good, man, go on, Kenny should be home from college soon and he can help me,” Luke said. Alex and Delia left. Luke went back to the office and put the boys back in the playpen.
“Luke?” Kenny asked.
“My office,” Luke said.
“Hey man,” Kenny said.
“I need to run some errands, can you be on uncle duty?” Luke asked.
“Yep,” Kenny said.
“I'm here too,” Ethan said.
“All right guys, see ya later,” Luke said. He left and stopped at the agency to see if Karly wanted lunch. He walked in and saw Kevin on one knee in front of her with a ring.
“What's going on here?” Luke asked.
“Hey babe, Kevin is planning to propose to Samantha and he's practicing so he won't be so nervous and who better than his best friend who is happily married,” Karly said.
“I am just so nervous and afraid she would say no that Karly suggested that I practice with her so she can help me get the courage to ask Samantha, I want Sam to know that I'm asking because I love her and not asking because of the baby only,” Kevin said.
“Just say what's in your heart, Kev,” Luke said.
“That's what I said,” Karly said.
“Okay thanks for the advice, I hope I don't screw this up, I want it to be perfect,” Kevin said.
“It will be, Kev, you love her, she loves you, you guys are having a baby, she will say yes,” Karly said.
“I hope so,” Kevin said.
“She will,” Luke said.
“Okay, I'm going to go surprise her at work,” Kevin said. He went out the door. Luke came over and knelt in front of her. She smiled and he rubbed her stomach and kissed it.
“I love you baby so much,” Luke said.
“I love you too, where's the boys?” Karly asked.
“Home with Uncle Ethan and Uncle Kenny,” Luke said.
“So, what brings you by?” Karly asked.
“Well, do you remember the girl that was in the office with me at the club in Miami when you came with divorce papers?” Luke asked.
“Yeah, oh god, she followed you up here, she changed her mind and wants you back,” Karly said.
“No, baby, she came to check how I was doing and if I was back with my family, I told her I had my memories back and I was back to normal, she is actually out having drinks with Alex right now,” Luke said.
“Really?” Karly asked.
“Yes baby, I am all yours, no one is taking me away from you and our family,” Luke said.
“Okay, I just am scared to be without you, all those months of being without you, I don't know how I made it through, it was all a blur,” Karly said.
“Well I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere,” Luke said.
“Good because you are my everything,” Luke said.
“And you are mine,” Luke said. He leaned up and kissed her softly. They heard someone clear their throat and they pulled back and saw Adam and Liam standing at the door.
“Sorry guys,” Adam said.
“I was just looking for Kevin to go over some photos,” Liam said.
“He went to see Samantha,” Karly said.
“Is he going to do it?” Adam asked.
“I believe so,” Karly said. Kevin came in and sat down. Karly looked at him. Adm and Liam came in and sat down.
“What happened Kev?” Karly asked.
“She said yes!” Kevin said.
“Congratulations!” Karly said.
“Shouldn't you guys be celebrating?” Luke asked.
“We will later,” Kevin said. They all went back to work. Luke sat on the couch.

CHAPTER 299

Karly sat there going over paperwork with Kevin. Ethan came in.
“Hey bro,” Karly said.
“Hey,” Ethan said.
“What's wrong?” Karly asked.
“Adam's ex showed up wanting him back, said he made a mistake,” Ethan said.
“So, Adam dumped you?” Karly asked.
“No, they went to talk,” Ethan said.
“But you think he'll go back to him?” Karly asked.
“I don't know, I'm just waiting,” Ethan said.
“Wait no more,” Adam said. Adam came in and pulled Ethan up and kissed him deeply.
“I want to be with you and only you, he had his chance and he blew it, I only talked to him to close that CHAPTER and open ours,” Adam said.
“That's good, I thought I would have to kick your ass,” Karly said.
“Karly, you are seven months pregnant,” Adam said.
“So, I still would,” Karly said.
“No, you wouldn't baby,” Luke said.
“Luke and I would for you,” Kevin said.
“Right okay,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“Okay okay, you're right,” Karly said.
“You have nothing to worry about, this is where I want to be, because I am in love with you, Ethan,” Adam said.
“Same goes for me,” Ethan said. They hugged. Karly smiled. Luke came over and knelt down beside her and rubbed her stomach.
“Okay you two, go on home and fuck each other's brains out,” Karly said.
“Sis!” Ethan said.
“I can tell you guys want to and I don't want it to happen here at the office, no sex in this building,” Karly said.
“You mean you and Luke never did it here?” Ethan asked.
“Nope,” Karly said.
“Only office where we did it was mine at the club and it has a door lock and loud music as a cover for the screams and moans,” Luke said.
“Luke!” Karly said.
“It's true!” Luke said. Kevin snickers. Karly glared at him.

“What?” Luke asked.

“I remember back in college when we were at my parents’ house and in my bedroom, we weren't quiet, my parents asked us not to do it in their house again, they said if we wanted to do it, go get a hotel room,” Kevin said.
“Wait, you slept with Karly?” Adam asked.
“Kevin is my ex from college, we broke up after graduation when he went to Paris for an internship for photography, I couldn't go with him because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Karly said.
“We broke up as friends,” Kevin said.
“Now he is my best friend and godfather to my sons,” Karly said.
“He's become a brother to all of us, he's family,” Luke said. Karly sat there all quiet in deep thought and suddenly broke down crying. Luke took her in his arms.
“Oh god, baby what's wrong?” Luke asked.
“Karly?” Hayley asked.
“Beautiful what is it?” Kevin said.
“A memory just came back to me, I blocked it out because it happened that night,” Karly said.
“The night you were raped and beaten,” Kevin said. Ethan quietly told Adam about what happened.
“Kev come here,” Luke said. Kevin moved over and knelt in front of Karly. She threw herself in his arms. He held her close.
“Talk to us, beautiful,” Kevin said.
“They told me that I was pregnant, but I miscarried because of the beating,” Karly said.
“Oh god no,” Kevin said.
“He killed our baby, Kev, I was three and a half months along they said, I didn't know it until after I woke up and they told me,” Karly said. Kevin hugged her tight as they cried together. Hayley stood there crying. Ethan had tears running down his cheeks. Adam put his arms around him.
“Hey beautiful,” Kevin said.
“I'm so sorry!” Karly said.
“It's not your fault!” Kevin said.
“I shouldn't have been alone, I should have asked Gina and Allie to go with me,” Karly said.
“You didn't know what would happen, you didn't know that he was out there, waiting to strike, you thought you would be okay, it's not your fault, it was his and he's dead now okay, he can't hurt you ever again, you got your revenge, for yourself and me, for what he did to us,” Kevin said.
“I know, I'm sorry, I just keep thinking of what I could have done differently, a lot of what ifs,” Karly said. Kevin hugged her close and they sat there. Samantha and Amber came in and saw them.
“Kev?” Samantha asked.
“What's going on?” Amber asked.
“Have a seat, this is going to be hard to hear,” Kevin said. Samantha and Amber sat down and looked at them.
“Mom, Sam, Kevin told you what happened to Karly in college,” Luke said.
“That a guy beat and raped Karly and you guys took care of him and she got her revenge,” Samantha said.
“Turns out she got her revenge for me as well,” Kevin said.
“Karly had blocked the memory of what happened out until before, not all memories came back one last piece came back,” Luke said.
“What is it?” Amber asked.
“The beating killed your grandchild, Mom,” Karly said.
“What!” Amber said.
“I was three and a half months pregnant and I miscarried from being beaten, the memory came back,” Karly said.
“There was that time that Karly had lost her memory,” Luke said.
“That son of a bitch killed my child,” Kevin said.
“Oh sweetie,” Amber said. Amber came over and hugged Karly and Kevin. Samantha joined the hug. An hour later, everyone went home. Luke carried Karly into the house and up to the bedroom and put her to bed. He went downstairs and told Casey and Kenny everything.
“I'm glad he's dead,” Kenny said.
“If he wasn't, I would go kill him,” Casey said.
“Probably would have had to get in line, Kevin would have been first,” Luke said.
“What can we do for her, Luke?” Kenny asked.
“Just be the best brothers you all can be, so I'm going to go lay with her, keep an eye on the boys,” Luke said. He went upstairs and took off his shoes and laid with her and held her close.

CHAPTER 300

Two months later, Karly was due any day. Luke was watching her like a hawk. They were at the club. Drew came in and saw him.
“Hey boss and boss lady,” Drew said.
“Hey Drew,” Karly said.
“You ready?” Drew asked.
“More than ready,” Karly said.
“What's up Drew?” Luke asked.
“This came for you,” Drew said. He handed Luke an envelope and Luke opened it and read the letter inside.
“What the?” Luke said.
“What is it babe?” Karly asked.
“A letter from another mafia king in the city, he just took over for his father and found some papers and he says I have something of his,” Luke said.
“What does he say you have?” Karly asked.
“I don't know, that's all it says, I have something of his,” Luke said.
“I wonder what he means,” Karly said.
“I don't know, he says he has to go over to London for a couple of months but he wants a meeting when he gets back,” Luke said.
“I guess we will find out then,” Karly said.
“I guess so,” Luke said. He finished up and they were walking out when she grabbed her stomach. She looked down.
“It's time, babe,” Karly said. They went to the hospital and got checked in and Dr. Reagan came in and they went through the contractions and Luke helped her through them. He has called the family. They all showed up and waited in the waiting room. Kevin and Samantha were at the house with Amber watching all the kids.
“Okay Karly, you are at 5 right now, halfway there,” Dr. Reagan said.
“All right,” Karly said.
“You are doing good, baby,” Luke said.
“I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you more, remember that when you are in pain,” Luke said.
“I'll try but no promises,” Karly said.
Four hours later, Karly was gripping Luke's hand and pushing the baby out.
“You can do it, baby, our baby girl is coming,” Luke said.
“AAAHHH!” Karly said. Dr. Reagan stood up with the baby and they lay the baby on Karly's chest.
“Our baby girl,” Luke said.
“She's so beautiful!” Karly said. Luke kissed Karly's forehead. He rested his head against hers as they gazed at their daughter.
“Isabella, I'm your mommy and this is Daddy, he's been waiting for you,” Karly said. They took the baby to get cleaned up and weigh her and get her swaddled and bring her over and Luke took her in his arms.
“Hey princess, I'm your daddy, you are as beautiful as your mom, I'm going to take special care of you, your brothers will protect you,” Luke said. Karly smiled as she watched him with their baby girl. Dr. Reagan finished taking care of her. They got moved to a private room. Karly took a nap while Luke took the baby out to meet her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Everyone gushed over the baby.
“She is so precious,” Angela said.
“She's beautiful, bro,” Hayley said.
“I know she is, just like her mother,” Luke said. Drew came running in with Sam. Luke looked at them.
“What is it?” Luke asked.
“We did some checking on that letter you got,” Drew said. Luke handed the baby to Angela and walked down the hall with them.
“Well?” Luke asked.
“Marcus Ashby,” Sam said.
“What else?” Luke asked.
“The something you have of his, is a person but that's all we know,” Drew said.
“Dammit, I would like to know,” Luke said.
“I'm sorry, boss, we couldn't find out anything else, we can go talk to his father?” Drew said.
“See what you can find out,” Luke said. Drew and Sam left, and Luke went back, and Hayley gave him the baby.
“Bro?” Hayley asked.
“What?” Luke asked.
“You okay?” Hayley asked.
“Fine happy!” Luke said.
“Luke,” Austin said.
“I'm trying to find out something and it's bugging me, I'll tell you when I know,” Luke said. He went back to Karly's room.

CHAPTER 301

It has been two months since Isabella was born. Luke and Karly were at the club in the office waiting for the meeting with the mafia king who sent the letter. Kevin and Jack were there with them along with Casey, Drew, and Sam.
“So, this guy says you have something of his,” Kevin said.
“Yeah and Drew found out it was a person, I don't know who it is,” Luke said. There was a knock at the door and Sam opened it and a guy came in.
“Marcus Ashby?” Luke asked.
“Yes, that's me,” Marcus said.
“Have a seat,” Luke said.
“Thank you,” Marcus said. He sat down and looked at everyone and he looked at Karly and smiled. She looked at Luke.
“You sent a letter saying that I have something of yours, care to explain what you meant?” Luke asked.
“Yes, you have my wife,” Marcus said.
“Excuse me, I don't have any hostages and the women in my family are married so there aren't any single women in the family,” Luke said.
“I came across some paperwork saying that there was a deal made between my father and the girl's father that when I take over a mafia king, she becomes my wife regardless if she is married to someone else, she was mine first,” Marcus said.
“So, who is she?” Luke asked.
“The deal was done between my father and Ray Davis,” Marcus said.
“WHAT!!” Karly said.
“Um that's illegal,” Kevin said.
“Excuse me, who are you?” Marcus asked.
“Kevin Parker, lawyer,” Kevin said.
“Jack Taylor, lawyer, Ray Davis had no authority to do such a thing, he doesn't have a daughter,” Jack said.
“Karly Davis?” Marcus asked.
“I'm Karly Lawson Stone,” Karly said.
“Okay so here is the deal, Ray Davis was married to Karly's mother, Karly was born Karly Davis but Ray was not her father, in fact he never claimed her as his daughter, to him she was a girl who lived in his house, he told her she was a mistake and never should have been born, he wanted her dead, he actually tried to kil her before he died, so I don't know what deal he made but he had no legal right to do so since she was not his daughter by blood, he refused any legal claim on her,” Kevin said.
“Do you have these papers with you?” Jack asked. Marcus handed them to Jack and he and Kevin looked over them. They looked at him.
“There is a date on these papers, you had four years to claim her as your wife from the date on the papers, these papers were done eight years ago,” Jack said.
“I honestly didn't see that when I read them,” Marcus said. He looked at them and sighed and looked at them.
“I'm sorry, really, I didn't know there was an expiration date on this marriage deal,” Marcus said.
“Wait a minute here, Jack, Kevin, remember the papers that Austin found in his father's safe,” Karly said.
“The marriage license,” Kevin said.
“Exactly, how could it be possible to be married to two guys at once, if Ray made this deal with him and did the marriage license with Kevin, how could I have been married to both of them if Ray set this whole thing up,” Karly said.
“Maybe these are fake,” Marcus said.
“I know that marriage license wasn't because he made me do that, but these I have never seen before,” Jack said.
“I'm going to go talk to my father to see what is the truth here, I'm sorry about all this,” Marcus said.
“You were just trying to find out what was the truth, call Luke when you find out from him,” Karly said.
“I will bye everyone,” Marcus said. He went out the door and Karly leaned against the wall. Luke got up and hugged her.
“You okay baby?” Luke asked.
“I can't believe this,” Karly said.
“I called Dad, Austin, and Eric to come here,” Casey said.
“I'm glad that son of a bitch is dead, if he wasn't, I would kill him,” Karly said. Rick, Austin, and Eric came in and they were told what had happened.
“That jackass!!!” Austin said.
“How could he do that to our sister!” Eric said.
“He wanted to marry off my daughter so he wouldn't have to deal with her, he probably knew I was her father, if he didn't want her, he should have just let her find me,” Rick said. Karly went into his arms. He held her close.
“I wish I knew you were my father growing up,” Karly said.
“Me too sweetheart,” Rick said.
“If he knew she was your daughter, he had no legal right to make that deal,” Kevin said.
“He made no legal claim on Karly so that marriage deal is not legal,” Jack said.
“So I'm still Luke's wife?” Karly asked.
“Legally yes,” Jack said.
“It's true, the marriage deal was a fake,” Marcus said.
“Your father admit it?” Kevin asked.
“Yes, apparently it was a test to see if I can face Luke Stone and come out alive, I passed it,” Marcus said.
“It was a test by your father,” Luke said.
“Yes, you are feared in our world,” Marcus said.
“Yes you passed, see you at the next yearly meeting, Marcus,” Luke said.
“See you then and again sorry for all this I thought it was for real,” Marcus said.
“You don't know, no harm no foul,” Luke said. They shook hands and Marcus left. Luke pulled Karly into his lap and they talked with everyone.
