Luke helped Karly into the house and she saw Ethan and Kenny sitting on the couch playing with Kingston and Jackson.
“My boys,” Karly said. She sat down and Ethan and Kenny put the boys in her arms and she hugged them. The boys snuggled against their mother.
“They missed their mom,” Ethan said.
“I missed them so much,” Karly said kissing their heads.
“Okay, baby, let's get you to bed, you promised the doc,” Luke said. Karly groaned and Ethan and Kenny took the boys and Luke helped her up to the bedroom and got her settled into bed.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“Yeah baby,” Luke asked.
“Come here,” Karly said. He sat down next to her. She pulled him in and kissed him softly. He deepened the kiss. He pulled back and rested his forehead against hers.
“I missed you baby,” Luke said. She smiled.
“I missed you more, I so needed that, babe,” Karly said.
“I love you,” Luke said.
“I love you too, what are we going to do,” Karly said.
“What do you mean, baby?” Luke asked.
“I can't be on the pill anymore, are you going to start wearing condoms?” Karly asked.
“No, Karly, I am not wearing those things,” Luke said.
“So, you want to have more kids right away,” Karly said.
“Karly, you aren't even cleared right now to have sex, we will talk with Dr. Reagan at your next appointment, but I am telling you now, I refuse to wear a condom because I hate being restricted, I love feeling you around me,” Luke said.
“I know, and I love the way you feel inside me, but the boys aren't even one yet,” Karly said.
“I know, baby, you can't be on the pill, I refuse to wear condoms, I will not stop wanting to make love to you all the time, I mean, I wish I could now, but you are recovering so I can't, we will talk with Dr. Reagan at your next appointment,” Luke said.
“Okay, come lay with me until I go to sleep,” Karly said. Luke smiled and took off his shoes and got into bed with her and pulled her in his arms and held her as she fell asleep. He got up after awhile, and went downstairs and sat down.
“How is she doing?” Ethan asked.
“She's missing the last three months, the last thing she remembers is collapsing at the hospital,” Luke said.
“Oh man, so she has no memory of losing her memories of us,” Ethan said.
“Nope,” Luke said.
“LUKE!” Karly yelled. Luke got up and ran upstairs to the bedroom and saw her sitting up. He sat down.
“Baby?” Luke asked. “
“Where were you?” Karly asked.
“I was downstairs with your brothers,” Luke said.
“I woke up and you weren't here, I can't sleep without you,” Karly said. Luke laid down and took her in his arms. She held onto him and rested her head on his chest.
“I'm sorry, baby, I thought you would sleep okay,” Luke said.
“I don't want to be anywhere but, in your arms, I want to stay in your arms,” Karly said.
“I want to hold you in my arms and never let go, baby, but we have two little ones who need us too, we can't keep pushing them off onto their uncles, they need Mommy and Daddy too,” Luke said.
“I know, can you get them?” Karly asked. Luke got up and went downstairs and came back with the boys and laid them on the bed with Karly. They curled up against her. He got into bed. Jackson curled up against him while Kingston cuddled against his mother. Karly stroked their heads.
“Our boys, our babies,” Karly said. Luke kissed Jackson's forehead and stroked Karly's cheek.
“My life is in this bed, my reasons for living,” Luke said.
“Mine too,” Karly said. The boys fell asleep snuggling against their parents. Karly soon fell asleep. Luke laid there watching his family sleep smiling.
Three weeks later, Karly and Luke were sitting in Dr. Reagan's office waiting for the results of her tests that she ran. Dr. Reagan sat down and smiled at them.
“You have the all clear, Karly, you can resume your normal routine,” Dr. Reagan said.
“So, I can go back to work,” Karly said.
“Yes,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Doc, is there any form of birth control that Karly can take that won't affect her?” Luke asked.
“I'm afraid there isn't, only condoms would be the only form you would have to take, I'm afraid of trying anything else without any harm coming to Karly,” Dr. Reagan said.
“I can't do an IUD?” Karly asked.
“I will need to do a test to see if you are allergic to any of the hormones it gives out,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Do it, I just want to know everything I'm allergic to so I won't have anything like that happen again, I still don't know what happened those three months that I had no memory of my husband and my dad and brothers and sister,” Karly said.
“Let's get it done,” Dr. Reagan said. They went and did another test and Dr. Reagan left the room. Karly leaned against Luke as he stood beside her. He wrapped his arms around her.
“I know what you are thinking, you prefer me not being on anything,” Karly said.
“Baby, I wouldn't have said anything about it if I was thinking that, I was just thinking of all that has happened, I thought my wife was gone from me forever, that we had to fall in love all over again, I can't live without you and I thought I was going to,” Luke said.
“Luke?” Karly asked.
“After you woke up with no memory of me, or your dad, and all them, you thought you were still in college, and with Kevin, Dr. Reagan told you we were married, you said that you couldn't do it, be married to someone you didn't know, that you were stuck in the past while everyone was in the future, you practically shoved me out the door so I left and went to the club and to the office and locked myself in the office and just broke down, then I went to pick up the boys from Austin's and went home with them and just held them close because they were all I had of you,” Luke said. Karly hugged him. He held her close.
“I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you,” Luke said. Dr. Reagan came back in.
“Okay, you are clear to have the IUD, so you want to get it put in?” Dr. Reagan said holding it up.
“Yes, please,” Karly said. Dr. Reagan put it in.
“Okay done,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Is it effective right away?” Karly asked.
“Once it's in, it's ready to protect, so you guys could go home and have fun and be safe,” Dr. Reagan said. Karly blushes against Luke who smiled.
“So, we have the all clear for that too,” Luke said.
“Yes, you do, like I said, back to normal in every way possible,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Thank you, doc,” Luke said.
“Thank you, Dr. Reagan,” Karly said. They left the doctor's office and went home.

CHAPTER 257

Karly and Luke arrived home and saw Ethan and Casey playing with Kingston and Jackson.
“There's Mommy and Daddy,” Ethan said. Luke took Jackson and Karly took Kingston.
“Well?” Casey asked.
“All clear, I can go back to work and resume my normal activities,” Karly said.
“CASEY!” they heard Becca yell. Casey ran upstairs. Luke gave Jackson to Ethan and went upstairs. A few minutes later, Casey came downstairs carrying Becca.
“What happened?” Karly asked.
“She's bleeding,” Casey said.
“Oh god the baby!” Becca said crying.
“Luke here, take Kingston, I'll go with them and call Eric on the way, you and Ethan get the boys,” Karly said. Luke nodded. Karly went out the door. They went to the hospital. Karly pulled up to the door and Casey carried her in. Karly parked and ran in calling Eric on the way into the hospital. She talked with a nurse and sat down and waited. Eric and Hayley came in and went into the room. Luke and Ethan came in with the twins in their stroller and they were asleep. They sat down and waited. Casey came out. Karly got up and hugged him.
“What's going on, bro,” Karly said.
“They are doing an emergency c-section, they can't stop the bleeding, they said it's a ruptured placenta and they need to get the baby out,” Casey said. They sat down and waited for the news. A couple hours later, Eric came out holding the baby.
“Hey guys, meet our son,” Eric said. Karly came over and looked at the baby and gently hugged him. Hayley came out and Luke hugged her.
“How's Becca?” Casey asked.
“They got the bleeding stopped and they are getting her settled in a room,” Hayley said.
“What's his name going to be, bro?” Karly asked.
“Seth Peter Lawson,” Eric said.
“Dad would love that,” Luke said.
“I know,” Hayley said. Peter and Barbara came in and Eric laid the baby in Barbara's arms.
“We named him Seth Peter Lawson,” Eric said.
“I love it,” Barbara said.
“I'm so honored, son,” Peter said hugging him. He kissed Hayley's forehead and hugged her.
“Love you Daddy,” Hayley said.
“Love you babygirl,” Peter said.
Two months later, Becca was completely healed and Eric and Hayley were happy being parents to Lacey and Seth. Hayley got the all clear from the doctors. The tumor was completely gone and they are hopeful that there will not be another one. It was a long fight and she beat it this time. Karly was resting in bed. Becca was in her and Casey's room. Luke and Casey were in the kitchen making some lunch when they heard a scream and a thump and they ran out and saw Karly and Becca at the bottom of the stairs.
“Oh god no!” Luke said running to Karly. Casey ran to Becca. Luke called 911. He hung up and checked Karly and her pulse was weak. Casey checked Becca.
“Oh god no!” Casey said taking her in his arms.
“Casey?” Luke said.
“She's gone,” Casey said crying. Ethan and Kenny came running in and saw them.
“What happened?!” Ethan said running over to them.
“We were in the kitchen and heard a scream and a thump and came out and found them at the bottom of the stairs, Karly's pulse is weak,” Luke said crying.
“Becca doesn't have one,” Casey said crying. Ethan checked her and looked at Casey.
“Bro, she still has a heartbeat but it's weak,” Ethan said. The paramedics arrived and got the girls ready.
“Let's move, we are losing this one!” one paramedic said as they loaded Becca up and took her out with Casey behind them. The other paramedic loaded Karly up and they went out the door.
“The boys are asleep, call Dad and your brothers!” Luke said before running out the door behind them. They went to the hospital and he found Casey in the waiting room at the ER.
“Casey,” Luke said as they wheeled Karly through the doors.
“She coded in the ambulance, oh god, what if she dies,” Casey said.
“They will do everything they can,” Luke said.
“What could have happened, bro, for them to fall down the stairs,” Casey said.
“We will find out,” Luke said.
“Luke, do you have cameras in the house?” Casey said.
“They are only on when we aren't home and they turn on with the alarm, only with a special code so they don't turn on when we are home, and there are full time cameras outside the house,” Luke said.
“I can't believe this is happening,” Casey said. A doctor came out and looked at them.
“Doc?” Luke asked.
“Mr. Stone?” the doctor said.
“Yes,” Luke said.
“Your wife has suffered a broken leg and a possible spinal injury, we won't know until she wakes up,” the doctor said.
“But she'll be okay?” Luke asked.
“There is some swelling in her brain, so we don't know when she'll wake up, but she is stable but still critical,” the doctor said.
“What about Becca?” Casey asked.
“She's in a coma, it's possible she won't make it, from the looks of things, her fall down the stairs was more serious than Mrs. Stone's,” the doctor said. Casey sat down. Luke nodded to the doctor and sat with him.
“Thanks doc,” Luke said.
“We will move your wife to a room and a nurse will come out and let you know when you can go to her, the same with Becca,” the doctor said. Luke nodded. Casey covered his face in his hands and cried softly. Rick, Angela, Alyssa, Austin, Eric. And Kenny came in. Luke told them what happened. Rick sat with Casey.
“Son?” Rick asked. Casey didn't say anything but turned and hugged his father.
“How did this happen?” Austin asked.
“We won't know for sure until they wake up,” Luke said.
“What did they say about Karly?” Eric asked.
“Broken leg, swelling in her brain, possible spinal injury, she is stable but critical,” Luke said. Eric hugged him.
“That's from your sister, she wanted me to give you a kiss too but I'm not doing that,” Eric said. Alyssa came over and kissed Luke's cheek.
“I'll do it for her,” Alyssa said.
“Thanks sis,” Eric said hugging her. They sat down. A nurse came and took Luke to Karly's room and he walked in and saw her lying there. He sat down in a chair beside her and took her hand in his and held it close.
“I'm here baby, you need to wake up so we can know what happened,” Luke said.
Three days later, Luke was still sitting by her bedside. He refused to leave until she did. He Facetimed with the boys. Angela and Alyssa were staying at the house with the boys. Luke sat there watching Karly. She started stirring and he sat up and pushed the button for the nurse and held her hand.
“Karly, baby,” Luke said. She opened her eyes and saw him.
“Luke, oh god Luke!” Karly said. He sat on the bed.
“I'm here, baby,” Luke said.
“She was trying to kill me,” Karly said.
“What, who, Becca?” Luke asked.
“I woke up from my nap and she was standing by the bed with a knife, she said she wanted me dead because she wanted you back, she lied to all of us about being over you, she was waiting until we didn't expect it, she had it all planned, she was going to kill me and then have Casey blame you for not keeping me safe and he would leave the house and she would come back and comfort you,” Karly said. Luke sat there. Casey came in.
“Sis!” Casey said.
“Casey, Becca awake yet?” Luke asked.
“No, why?” Casey asked.
“She tried to kill your sister,” Luke said.
“What!” Casey said. Luke's phone beeped and he looked at it.
“Mom found a knife on the bed in our bedroom, baby, she didn't touch it, she picked it up with a towel and put it in a plastic bag, she said she wasn't sure why a knife would be on the bed so to be safe, she put it in a bag,” Luke said.
“Oh god,” Casey said.
“She lied to all of us, bro, she's not over Luke, she was planning to get him back when we least expected it, I woke up and she was standing over me with a knife, she said she was going to kill me, have you blame Luke and leave, she would comfort him,” Karly said. Casey looked at her and Luke.
“I hope she never wakes up,” Casey said.
“I have an idea,” Luke said. He made a call. The doctor came in with a nurse. They checked Karly and said she would make a full recovery. They said they will do more testing in the morning. They left the room leaving Karly with Luke and Casey.
“Who did you call, bro?” Casey asked.
“Rames, he's picking the knife up and taking it in for evidence and then coming here,” Luke said.
“Good, she needs to be locked up, I should ask the doc about restraints,” Casey said. He left the room. Twenty minutes later, he came back smiling.
“They are tying her to the bed, with instructions not to untie her until Detective Rames says so,” Casey said.
“Casey, I'm just glad you believed me,” Karly said.
“Sis, I know you wouldn't lie to me,” Casey said.
“Deep down I knew she hadn't moved on, I mean it was too quick, one minute she was begging for another chance, one look at you and bam, she wanted you,” Luke said.
“I knew it was too good to be true, I should have seen it, the look on her face when I say something about marriage and kids, it was like she didn't want it, but I was too blind,” Casey said.
“I'm sorry Casey,” Karly said. Casey hugged her and kissed her forehead.
“It's okay, sis, I love you,” Casey said.
“I love you too,” Karly said. Luke sat on the bed beside her and she smiled at him.
“My love,” Luke said.
“My heart,” Karly said. He leaned down and kissed her softly and rested his forehead against hers.
“I love you more than anything,” Luke said.
“I love you too,” Karly said. Casey left the room to go talk to the family in the waiting room. Luke stretched out on the bed beside her and wrapped his arms gently around her. She curled up the best she could against him.

CHAPTER 258

Luke laid there holding Karly in his arms as she slept. He kissed her forehead and held her close. He almost lost her. He knew he couldn't live without her. He didn't know what he would do if he did but knew he had two little boys who needed him and they needed their mother. He knew if anything happened to his wife, he would go on for his sons and raise them on his own. He could never be without anyone else. He would have the family around but no one could take Karly's place in his life.
“Luke?” Detective Rames said.
“Hey,” Luke said.
“We processed the knife, it had Becca's prints so we put cuffs on her and I have an officer standing outside her door, she will be under guard at all times,” Detective Rames said.
“Is she alone?” Luke asked.
“Casey is there waiting for her to wake up so he can find out why she did what she did, if she can answer for what she tried to do,” Detective Rames said.
“I want her to pay for what she did, she wanted to kill my wife, for all we know, she caused the fall down the stairs not knowing he would receive the more serious injuries,” Luke said.
“Luke, she's awake,” Casey said. Luke gently got up and followed them to the door and stopped them.
“I have an idea,” Luke said. He told them his idea and Rames gave him a recorder and he went in after hitting record. Becca looked at him.
“Luke,” Becca said.
“Becca,” Luke said.
“What happened?” Becca asked.
“You tell me, Casey and I found you and Karly at the bottom of the stairs,” Luke said.
“I wanted to ask her something and after I did, she got all mad and stormed out and I went after her to explain and she refused to listen, we struggled at the top of the stairs and we fell down them,” Becca said.
“What was the question?” Luke asked.
“I asked if I could have one night with you,” Becca said.
“What!” Luke said.
“I wanted one night to get you completely out of my system before I asked Casey to marry me,” Becca said.
“Do you even love him or was you just using him to get to me?” Luke asked.
“I can't get over you,” Becca said.
“So, you thought it was a good idea to go ask my wife, the mother of my sons, for one night with her husband who swore to never cheat on her!” Luke said.
“It wouldn't be cheating if she knew,” Becca said.
“Cheating is cheating regardless if she knew or not, I will never touch another woman, I love my wife with everything in me, I would never want to do anything with another woman, she's my heart and soul,” Luke said.
“Luke, is she?” Becca asked.
“Why do you care, you wanted her dead!” Luke yelled.
“What no!” Becca said.
“Explain the knife found on my bed with your prints on it, tell me the truth, did you want to kill my wife! Did you want Casey to blame me and leave so you could comfort me?” Luke asked.
“Yes to all of that, I wanted her gone!” Becca said.
“You bitch!” Luke said. He put his hand in his pocket and turned off the recorder and glared at her with hatred in his eyes.
“Luke please I love you!” Becca said.
“You whore!” Casey said.
“Casey,” Becca said.
“She never loved you, bro, it was just a way to stay close to me,” Luke said.
“I knew it was too good to be true,” Casey said.
“I don't think I have hated anyone as much as I hate you, you make me sick, I'm going back to my wife, Rames, here is her confession,” Luke said.
“Rebecca Travis, you are under arrest for the attempted murder of Karly Stone, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you are being questioned, if you can't afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning, if you wish one, do you understand these rights that I have explained to you?” Detective Rames asked.
“Yes,” Becca said crying.
“Goodbye Becca,” Casey said. Luke and Casey walked out of the room and went to Karly's room.

CHAPTER 259

Karly woke up to an empty room. She tried to move but couldn't. She tried to move her legs but they wouldn't move. Tears fell down her cheeks as she realized that she couldn't feel them. The door opened and Casey and Luke came in. Luke saw her crying and ran to her.
“Baby?” Luke asked.
“Sis?” Casey asked.
“I can't move my legs! I can't feel them!” Karly said.
“I'll get the doctor,” Casey said. He left the room and Luke laid on the bed beside her and took her in his arms.
“It'll be okay, baby, I promise,” Luke said.
“I can't move my legs, Luke, how is that okay!” Karly said.
“Baby, I mean we will get through this together,” Luke said.
“Oh god, what if I never walk again, I can't chase the boys, I can't do much of anything!” Karly said.
“We will deal with it, baby, I'm not leaving you,” Luke said.
“If you do, I'll kill you,” Karly said.
“I love you,” Luke said.
“I love you,” Karly said. Casey came in with the doctor. The doctor did some tests. Karly let him know when she felt something.
“I'm afraid you are paralyzed from the hips down to your feet, I want to get x-rays and see what the extent is and if there is hope for you walking again,” the doctor said.
“Do what needs to be done, doc,” Luke said. They took Karly to get x-rays. Luke called the family and they came to the hospital. He told them what was going on.
“I could kill that bitch,” Austin said.
“She tried to kill our sister and broke our brother's heart, she needs to pay,” Eric said.
“Bro, you should take care of her,” Hayley said.
“You think I haven't thought about it,” Luke said.
“Luke, is she under arrest?” Rick asked.
“Yep,” Luke said.
“Luke, I have an idea,” Casey said.
“What's up,” Luke said. Casey pulled him aside and spoke with him quietly. They disappeared for a few minutes.
“What is my son up to?” Rick asked.
“And my brother,” Hayley said. The doctor came out and looked at them.
“Are you all Karly's family?” the doctor asked.
“I'm her father, what did you find out?” Rick asked.
“There is some swelling around her spinal cord so once that goes down, it is possible she will walk again, from the looks of things, it's not permanent,” the doctor said.
“Thank god,” Austin said.
“What's going on?” Luke asked.
“Swelling around her spinal cord, she could possibly walk again,” Eric said.
“Thank god,” Luke said.
“Where did you go?” Austin asked.
“Had to take care of something,” Luke said.
“Something or someone,” Eric said.
“What,” Luke said.
“Bro?” Hayley asked. They heard alarms going off and doctors and nurses rushing to a room.
“What the?” Luke said.
“Luke?” Austin asked.
“What?” Luke asked.
“Is that Becca's room?” Eric asked.
“Don't know don't care,” Luke said.
“Luke where's my son?” Rick asked.
“Dad?” Casey said. They saw him in handcuffs. Rick went to him.
“Son, what did you do?” Rick asked.
“I had to do it, I had to get rid of her,” Casey said.
“Oh god bro!” Alyssa said. She went and hugged him. Casey rested his head against hers.
“I'm sorry sis, I'll be okay,” Casey said.
“Bro?” Kenny asked.
“Why?” Ethan asked.
“She tried to kill our sister and she used me to get back with Luke knowing he would never be with her, she's sick and I knew she would do anything to get away with it regardless of her confession, it could easily get thrown out,” Casey said.
“I certainly don't agree with what you did, Casey, but you are right about that, she could do anything to get away with it, you have my support no matter what,” Angela said. She hugged him. Casey rested his head against her.
“Thank you, Mom,” Casey said.
“I'll call a lawyer,” Rick said.
“Jack will meet him at the station,” Eric said. Rick hugged his son. Casey rested against him.
“I love you son, we will do anything to get you out of this,” Rick said.
“Love you Dad,” Casey said. The cop took him away. Detective Rames showed up.
“Luke,” Detective Rames said.
“Hey,” Luke said.
“Well Becca is dead, they found Casey in there with her, one nurse saw you come out of there,” Detective Rames said.
“I was in there, but I didn't touch her, I'll take a lie detector test if you want me to,” Luke said.
“Luke, I know you wouldn't do anything that would cause you to be taken from your wife and kids, I just want to make sure he's not covering for you,” Detective Rames said.
“My brother was out here with us when the alarms went off,” Hayley said.
“If she was hooked up to the machines, they would alarm right away if they detected something wrong, wouldn't they,” Eric said.
“Luke was out here when they went off,” Rick said.
“Detective, I can vouch for Mr. Stone, the alarms would go off right away, he was out here for five minutes before they did, and they detect right away, we found Mr. Lawson standing over her with the cops putting cuffs on him,” the doctor said.
“Okay, I was just making sure, Luke, how's Karly?” Detective Rames asked.
“Swelling around her spinal cord, she can't feel her legs, but possibly could walk when the swelling goes down, we will find out when that happens,” Luke said.
“Okay, I'll keep you informed about your brother-in-law and I'll keep him safe,” Detective Rames said.
“Thanks, Rames,” Luke said.
“Anything you want to tell me before I go?” Detective Rames said.
“Yeah I better let you listen to this,” Luke said. He pulled out his phone and let Rames listen to the recording.
“*Becca, anything you want to tell us before we send you off to prison?*” Luke said.
“*Anything you want to say to me?*” Casey said.
“*I did care about you, Casey, at one time but I couldn't let go of my feelings for Luke, they were too strong to ignore*” Becca said.
“*I never had feelings for you, Becca, never will, you were a fling, nothing more, it never would have been regardless if I got with Karly,*” Luke said.
“*Enjoy her while you can, Luke, I will beat these charges and when I do, I will come finish what I intended to do, I will kill her and make you suffer the loss of your wife, she will be dead, I guarantee it,*” Becca said.
“*Casey, do what you want to do, I'm done with her,*” Luke said.
Luke stopped the recording and looked at Detective Rames.
“Can you send that to me, Luke, it might help him,” Detective Rames said.
“Yeah I will,” Luke said. He sends the recording to him and Rames leaves.
“She was going to finish what she intended to do,” Rick said.
“Now I'm glad she's dead,” Angela said.
“I think we all are,” Hayley said.
“If Casey didn't do it, I would have,” Eric said.
“Me too,” Austin said.
“Boys,” Rick said.
“Dad, she was going to come after our sister, your daughter,” Eric said.
“I know, I was going to say me too,” Rick said.
“I'm going to go to my wife,” Luke said. He went to Karly's room and saw her asleep.

CHAPTER 260

Karly woke up and saw Luke sitting there holding her hand. He smiled at her.
“Hey baby,” Luke said.
“Hey you know?” Karly said.
“Yeah I do,” Luke said.
“I'm sorry about earlier,” Karly said.
“Baby, it's okay, you were scared, now we have answers and there is a plan in place,” Luke said.
“And you will be there with me?” Karly asked.
“Of course, baby, I'll be with you every step of the way, I showed Drew and Sam how to do paperwork for the clubs, I just have to do payroll for the clubs and the agency but I can do that anywhere,” Luke said.
“I hate this, why does this stuff happen to me!” Karly said.
“Baby, Becca was insane, and she won't be a problem anymore,” Luke said.
“What did you do?” Karly asked.
“Not me,” Luke said.
“Luke tell me,” Karly said.
“Casey killed her,” Luke said.
“Oh god!” Karly said.
“He had to,” Luke said. He played her the conversation they had the last time. She looked at him.
“Oh god, she wanted me dead,” Karly said.
“We couldn't let her live, baby, as much as I wanted to do it, I let Casey decide as you heard at the end, I want to stay on the legal side of things, I have to, for you and our boys,” Luke said.
“Where is he now?” Karly asked.
“I'm here sis,” Casey said. He came in and hugged her. She cried as she held onto him.
“Are you okay?” Karly asked.
“Yeah sis, I'm okay,” Casey said.
“So what happened?” Karly asked.
“Rames played the recording for the DA and they let me go saying it was justifiable homicide, they knew all I was doing was protecting my twin sister,” Casey said.
“I wish you didn't kill her,” Karly said.
“What, but she would have killed you!” Casey said.
“Nope, Luke could have made a deal with Rames to have Becca taken to the family home and left in the cells until I was well enough to face her and do it myself,” Karly said.
“Queen Karly,” Casey said.
“You better believe it,” Karly said.
“My queen, you up for a visit from your favorite little guys?” Luke asked.
“Yes!” Karly said. Austin and Eric came in carrying Kingston and Jackson. They set the boys on the bed with their mother and they cuddled up to her. She hugged them close.
“My boys,” Karly said.
“They missed their mama,” Austin said.
“Oh, my babies, Mommy loves you so much,” Karly said. She kissed their heads and held them. Jackson saw his father and reached for him. Luke took him in his arms and Jackson rested his head on his shoulder.
“Someone missed Daddy too,” Eric said.
“I missed them, too,” Luke said. Kingston heard his father and reached for him.
“Hey little man,” Luke said. He took Kingston in his arms and held both boys.
“Abandoned their mother for their father,” Karly said.
“They love you honey, you know that,” Luke said.
“Do I? I've hardly been a mother to them, I've been in and out of the hospital, forgot who they were for three months, left them behind to go to Miami for work, I'm always gone from their life because of some reason,” Karly said.
“Sis, you being in the hospital is not your fault,” Austin said.
“This time was his fault,” Karly said looking at Luke.
“What?!” Luke said.
“Sis?” Eric said.
“I wouldn't be here if he had never had that fling with Becca in the first place,” Karly said.
“I didn't know she would turn out like this, when I had the fling, I never thought of the future, being with you, married and have two sons, I didn't know she would turn psycho,” Luke said. She didn't say anything.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“Sis?” Austin said.
“Karly!” Eric said. She didn't say anything or look at them.
“Are you not talking to us now?” Austin asked.
“Sis?” Eric asked.
“Karly?!” Casey said.
“I'm taking the boys home,” Luke said.
“You are coming back right?” Austin asked. Luke looks at Karly who continues staring out the window away from him.
“I don't know, I should spend time with the boys at home,” Luke said. He carried the boys out the door. Austin, Eric, and Casey looked at each other.
“Sis?” Austin asked.
“Talk to us,” Eric said.
“Just leave me alone,” Karly said.
“Fine,” Austin said. He went out the door followed by Eric. Casey stood there.
“Sis?” Casey asked.
“Just go,” Karly said. Casey shook his head and walked out the door. She covered her face with her hands and started sobbing.

CHAPTER 261

Luke sat in the office at the house going over paperwork. They boys were in the playpen he set up in there. It's been three days since he left the hospital. Karly refused to talk or see anyone. He couldn't believe she blamed him for Becca. Maybe it was in a way his fault for the fling, but he didn't know what would happen in the future when he was having the fling.
“Luke,” Casey said.
“Hey,” Luke said.
“Dad called, he's with Karly, he needs you to come down there, she won't eat or anything, and the doctors ran tests and won't say anything until you are there with her,” Casey said. Luke nodded and looked at his sons in the playpen.
“I got my nephews, go,” Casey said. Luke left and went to the hospital and walked into the room.
“Karly, you need to eat something, you need your strength for physical therapy,” Rick said.
“I'm not hungry,” Karly said.
“Yes, you are,” Luke said. She turned her head and looked at him and started sobbing. He went to her and sat down and took her in his arms. She cried on his shoulder.
“I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I don't blame you, I shouldn't have said that, and I should haven't pushed everyone away, I love you!” Karly said.
“I love you too baby,” Luke said.
“Please don't leave me!” Karly said.
“I'm not going anywhere, baby, Dad, can you and Mom watch the boys?” Luke asked.
“Of course,” Rick said.
“Dad, can you get me some real food, I haven't eaten because the food is disgusting,” Karly said.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Rick said. He left the room. Karly looked at Luke.
“Karly, we should talk about it,” Luke said.
“I know, I was just upset because all your flings keep coming out and trying to destroy us or kill me, she was the second one trying to kill me you know,” Karly said.
“I know baby, I'm sorry, I can't change the past,” Luke said.
“I know, I'm sorry, I just got so frustrated and upset because the moment we are happy, something happens that messes things up, this is the fourth time I've been in the hospital this year because of something other than giving birth to the boys, I'm just tired of it, I just want to be back to normal, us being happy, our normal routines, work and the boys, just being in the hospital most of the time is exhausting,” Karly said.
“I still have the numbers of all the girls I had flings with and I'm going to send a message to all of them that they are to stay away from me and my family or else,” Luke said.
“You still have their numbers?!” Karly said.
“I put them somewhere where I wouldn't bother with them again, I just have to think where that was,” Luke said.
“Luke," Karly said.
“What else do you want me to do, I will send the message and throw away the numbers,” Luke said.
“Fine, I trust you to do that, but you better throw them away, promise?” Karly asked.
“Promise baby,” Luke said.
“Hey beautiful, hey Luke,” Kevin said coming in with Samantha.
“Hey Kev, hey Sam, how are things at the agency?” Karly asked.
“Running smoothly, Hayley's back to work so it's all going good,” Kevin said.
“I miss it,” Karly said.
“We know you do,” Kevin said.
“You just focus on the physical therapy and you will be back to work in no time,” Luke said.
“I can do both, I'll probably have a wheelchair,” Karly said.
“Karly?” Dr. Reagan said.
“Dr. Reagan, what are you doing here?” Karly asked.
“I have your test results that Dr. Lewis took earlier,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Okay, so what are they?” Luke asked. Dr. Reagan looked at them and then at Kevin and Samantha.
“It's fine, they can hear it,” Karly said.
“Karly, you're pregnant,” Dr. Reagan said.
“I'm sorry what?” Karly asked.
“You are three weeks along,” Dr. Reagan said.
“The fall down the stairs didn't hurt it, did it?” Karly asked.
“No it didn't, but I want you to rest a lot and I know you want to go back to work, I recommend you be in bed mostly,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Oh great, I might as well sell the agency,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Dr. Reagan said.
“It's been awhile since I went to work, doc, what kind of boss am I when I can't go be the boss, I have to leave the agency in the hands of my partners, one who is also working as a lawyer,” Karly said.
“I will talk to Jack, Karly, it'll be okay,” Kevin said.
“And I can talk with Eric and see if I can work half days at the company and then go help at the agency,” Samantha said.
“I'm still going to do the payroll and I can do it from the house, I've been doing the paperwork and payroll for the clubs at the house too,” Luke said.
“I'll be right back, Karly, I have to check on another patient really quick,” Dr. Reagan said. Dr. Reagan left the room. Karly took Luke's hand. He kissed her hand.
“Babe can I have your phone?” Karly asked. Luke gave her his cell phone and she called Eric.
“Hey bro, how's life without my so-called sister?” Eric asked.
“Get your ass to the hospital now!” Karly said. She hung up and called Austin.
“What's up, bro, staying strong and not going to the hospital?” Austin asked.
“Get your ass to the hospital, jerk!” Karly said. She hung up and laid back on the bed.
“What was that about?” Luke asked.
“Them thinking it's you calling, Eric said, “Hey bro, how's life without my so-called sister and Austin said, “What's up bro, staying strong and not going to the hospital?” Karly said.
“Oh geez, baby I'm sorry they said that,” Luke said.
“Why are you sorry? Did you tell them to say those things?” Karly asked.
“No,” Luke said.
“No because it was me, I pushed them away but I never thought they would talk like that about me, call me their so-called sister, telling my husband to stay away from the hospital, is that true?” Karly asked.
“No baby, I was giving you some space and I was hanging with our boys and doing paperwork and payroll for the clubs,” Luke said.
“I wish I had my phone,” Karly said.
“I'll call Casey and see if he can bring it when Mom gets to the house,” Luke said. Rick came in with food and Luke told him about what Austin and Eric said on the phone.
“Regardless to how Karly treated them, they shouldn't have said that,” Rick said.
“Karly?” Austin asked. She looked at him and just shook her head and turned away from him.
“Austin, very disappointed in you,” Rick said.
“I'm sorry, it just hurt that she didn't want us here,” Austin said.
“I wanted you guys to come so I could apologize but after what you said, I'm not so sure anymore,” Karly said.
“Karly, sis, I'm sorry for what I said,” Austin said.
“It really hurt, Austin, did you tell Luke to stay away?” Karly asked.
“I may have suggested it,” Austin said.
“Austin!” Rick said.
“I'm sorry, okay, I was upset that my sister was pushing everyone away and not wanting anyone around,” Austin said.
“I wasn't going to stay away, I was giving her some space and got busy with the boys, the paperwork and payroll from the club,” Luke said.
“Karly, I'm back, here is everything you need, remember lots of rest and an appointment is set up next month, I will be in touch with the physical therapist,” Dr. Reagan said.
“Thanks,” Karly said. Dr. Reagan left the room. Austin stood there looking at them.
“That explains it,” Austin said.
“What Austin?” Luke asked.
“Sweetheart, am I going to be a grandpa again?” Rick asked.
“Yes, I'm three weeks along, I have to rest a lot and spend a lot of time in bed for awhile, until we know it's safe for the baby after taking that fall,” Karly said.
“Karly, sis, I really am sorry for what I said on the phone, I was upset but I would never turn my back on you,” Austin said.
“I'm sorry for pushing you away, so I guess that makes us even,” Karly said. Austin nodded and came over and hugged her. Eric came in. Luke and Rick glared at him.
“Uh..” Eric said.
“So-called sister?” Luke asked.
“Really Eric?” Rick said.
“You said what?” Austin said.
“Yeah, Karly used my phone and called him and he thought it was me and he said hey bro, how's life without my so-called sister,” Luke said.
“Eric!” Austin said.
“I was mad and upset okay, she pushed us away when we wanted to be here for her,” Eric said.
“We found out the reason for her behavior,” Austin said.
“Hormones,” Luke said.
“What, you're pregnant?” Eric asked.
“She's three weeks along, she has to be on bed rest until they are sure the fall didn't hurt it,” Austin said.
“And I'm going to take half days at the company so I can go help out at the agency since she can't go back to work and I don't want Kevin and Hayley to feel overwhelmed,” Samantha said.
“Where's Matt and Dana?” Eric asked.
“Dana's mother has cancer so they went to Seattle to be with her to help with getting her to chemo treatments, her dad has to work overtime to help pay the hospital fees that the insurance doesn't cover and it's a pretty hefty sum,” Kevin said.
“Hayley didn't tell me that,” Eric said.
“They just found out today and left this afternoon, Hayley make it home?” Kevin asked.
“I don't know I came from the office,” Eric said.
“Eric?” Samantha asked.
“Oh sorry, yeah do half day at the company and the other half at the agency,” Eric said.
“Eric, do you have something to say to my wife?” Luke asked.
“I'm sorry sis, I didn't mean it, I just wanted to be here for you,” Eric said.
“I'm sorry too,” Karly said. Eric hugged her. They all smiled. Austin joined the hug.

CHAPTER 262

Three weeks later, Karly was home in bed.
“I don't want to go tomorrow,” Karly said.
“Baby, do you want to walk?” Luke asked.
“Yes, but I like you carrying me,” Karly said.
“I'll do it anyways just for you,” Luke said.
“I'm starting to get the feeling back in my legs, so I guess that's a good sign,” Karly said.
“I know you want to get things back to normal but it's going to be slow,” Luke said.
“I know,” Karly said. He put his hand on her stomach. She rested her hand over his.
“I'm so happy, our little peanut, it's a girl, I can feel it,” Luke said.
“Well then if it's a girl, you can get snipped,” Karly said.
“Nope, not going to happen baby,” Luke said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“Baby, I want a big family, it was boring just me and Hayley, we wanted a brother and a sister, we got neither, just us, my mom couldn't have any more children after Hayley and I don't want that to happen to you, I want you to have kids until you are unable to,” Luke said.
“Oh geez,” Karly said.
“Baby,” Luke said.
“I'm sorry,” Karly said.
“I just realized something, there is no point of having protection if that IUD didn't even work,” Luke said.
“Because you have some determined swimmers,” Karly said.
“Yes I do apparently,” Luke said laughing.
“But the truth is I had it taken out three days after I had it put it in, it made me nauseous,” Karly said.
“Well I guess there is no point of preventing pregnancy if nothing works,” Luke said.
“Condom?” Karly asked.
“Told you that I won't wear one,” Luke said.
“I'm not getting pregnant eight weeks after giving birth to one baby, I would like quality time with the new baby first,” Karly said.
“Then how can we prevent it, no sex?” Luke asked.
“I can't stop you from that so that's not an option, maybe before you come, you pull out?” Karly asked.
“I doubt I'll be able to because once I'm inside you, I can't stop,” Luke said.
“I figured that, I give up, no point in fighting about it and all that,” Karly said.
“Yep, Karly, having babies with you, shows how much we love each other, babies are proof of our love,” Luke said.
“Double that love at home,” Karly said.
“And now one inside you, and more to come, I want a big family, baby, as many as we can have, we have plenty of help,” Luke said.
“You are going to wear me out,” Karly said.
“I'll take care of you,” Luke said.
“Oh, I know you will,” Karly said. There was a knock at the door. They looked up and saw a guy standing there with Casey.
“Karly, Luke, this is Steven, he is going to be the physical therapist helping you get back to walking,” Casey said.
“Hello,” Steven said.
“Hello,” Karly said.
“I'm Luke, her husband,” Luke said.
“He knows, Luke, I've already told him all he needs to know,” Casey said.
“Then he knows to only help her walk and nothing else,” Luke said.
“Luke!” Karly said.
“Mr. Stone, I promise you that I will be completely professional, and I will not do anything that makes you both uncomfortable,” Steven said.
“Thank you,” Karly said.
“I hope you keep that promise, she is my life, my everything,” Luke said.
“I assure you that I will keep that promise, I know about how you feel about your wife because it's how I feel about my wife,” Steven said.
“How long have you guys been married?” Karly asked.
“3 years and we have a baby girl,” Steven said.
“A baby girl, he wants a baby girl,” Karly said.
“She has me wrapped around her finger,” Steven said.
“Our boys have him wrapped around theirs,” Karly said.
“How old are they?” Steven asked.
“Seven months,” Karly said.
“Twins?” Steven said.
“Yes,” Karly said.
“Casey here is Karly's twin brother,” Luke said.
“I hope nothing happens to this baby,” Karly said.
“We are going to start off easy and carefully since you are still recovering,” Steven said.
“And nothing will harm my baby?” Karly asked.
“No, that's why we are going to start easy and carefully,” Steven said.
“So, is this going to be done in the house or at the hospital?” Luke asked.
“It will be done at the hospital, I just wanted to come by and introduce myself and meet with you before tomorrow so no one would be uncomfortable,” Steven said.
“Thank you for coming by,” Karly said.
“You're welcome, I should get going, I stopped by on my way to pick up my daughter so I will see you tomorrow at ten,” Steven said.
“Bye,” Karly said. He shook Luke's hand and Casey's and left. Luke sat on the bed beside her.

CHAPTER 263

The next day Luke carried her into the hospital to the rehab center where Steven was waiting. She looked around the room.
“Hello Karly, Luke, ready for your first day?” Steven asked.
“I guess I'm ready,” Karly said.
“Okay let's sit in the chair first and we can do some stretches with your legs,” Steven said. Luke sat her down in the chair. His phone rang and he looked at it.
“I have to take this, baby, I'll be back,” Luke said. He went off to take the phone call. Steven went to work on her legs.
“Karly, what does your husband do?” Steven asked.
“He owns a couple of nightclubs here in the city, Club Rally is one of them, Club Indigo is the other and he has two buddies in Miami who have nightclubs so he's part owner to them as well,” Karly said.
“What was your job?” Steven asked.
“I own the Davis Modeling Agency, sorry, it's now the Stone Modeling Agency,” Karly said.
“So, you changed the name to your married name,” Steven said.
“Yes, I didn't want the name Davis around,” Karly said.
“May I ask why?” Steven asked.
“My stepfather,” Karly said.
“Was he abusive?” Steven asked.
“No, he just plain ignored me, he didn't want a daughter and after he died and my mom died, I found out that he wasn't my real father,” Karly said.
“He knew huh,” Steven said.
“I think so, are you getting me to talk to distract me?” Karly asked.
“Is it working?” Steven asked.
“Yeah, I don't mean to talk your ear off about my family life,” Karly said.
“It's okay, we are going to be seeing each other for three weeks so might as well get to know each other,” Steven said.
“You look a little down,” Karly said.
“It's nothing,” Steven said.
“Hey, I opened up to you, it's your turn,” Karly said.
“I left my wife,” Steven said.
“What?” Karly asked.
“I picked up my daughter and went home and found her in bed with another man, I packed my bags and my daughters and left,” Steven said.
“Oh gosh, I'm so sorry,” Karly said.
“She claimed that my daughter wasn't mine so this morning I had a test done and I got the results back, she's mine,” Steven said.
“Your wife was being vindictive because you were leaving her,” Karly said.
“My daughter is at my parents and I told them not to let her near my baby girl, they went to my sister's house until I get home,” Steven said.
“Wow,” Karly said.
“Hey what's going on?” Luke asked. Karly told him what happened.
“Oh man I'm sorry,” Luke said.
“Have you guys ever had someone cheat on you?” Steven asked.
“I did, my ex-boyfriend before Luke,” Karly said. She told him about Jason and everything he did to her.
“Damn, he should have been locked up for all that,” Steven said.
“Yeah, he should have,” Karly said.
“Let's get to work on getting you back to walking so you can chase those little guys of yours,” Steven said. They went to work on doing some exercises. Luke watched him work with her. He had her lying down on a mat with him working her legs. After a couple hours of therapy, Luke carried her out the door and they went home.
“What was the phone call about babe?” Karly asked.
“Detective Rames had an update on a case and is meeting us at the house,” Luke said. They pulled up to the house and he carried her in, and she saw two officers putting handcuffs on Casey.
“What's going on?” Karly asked.
“The DA decided to file charges, they threw out the recording that supposedly exonerated me,” Casey said.
“Oh god no!” Karly said.
“I'll be okay sis,” Casey said.
“Luke, I'm sorry man, but they want you too,” Detective Rames said.
“No please no!” Karly said.
“I'm sorry Karly,” Detective Rames said.
“It'll be okay baby,” Luke said.
“No please I need him!” Karly said. Luke knelt down in front of her and cupped her face in his hands.
“Hey, look at me baby, I love you, okay, take care of the boys,” Luke said. He kissed her and rested his forehead against hers.
“Oh god please this can't be happening, you weren't in the room with her, why do they want you!” Karly said.
“Because of what I said at the end, I pretty much gave the order to him,” Luke said.
“I thought they said it was justifiable homicide unless this is some plot to get Luke away from me by some dirty cops or DA?” Karly said.
“I've looked into that already, Karly, this is real, there is no plot,” Detective Rames said.
“I'm pregnant, Rames, I need Luke here with me, I can't do this alone, my children need their father!” Karly said.
“I'll do what I can, Karly, I promise,” Detective Rames said. Austin and Eric came in with Rick. Ethan and Kenny were upstairs with the boys.
“Luke, I love you!” Karly said.
“I love you baby, so much, be strong, okay, I will do whatever it takes to come home to you and our boys,” Luke said. He kissed her and kissed her stomach and left with Rames. Karly broke down sobbing. Rick sat down and took her in his arms. Austin sat next to her and hugged them. Eric knelt in front of her.
“We are here sis,” Austin said.
“We love you,” Eric said.
“We are here for you sweetheart,” Rick said. Karly sat there sobbing. They held her close.

CHAPTER 264

Karly laid there in bed crying. She hugged Luke's pillow to her. It's been three days since he left with Rames. Jack and Kevin have been working around the clock to get him and Casey out. She didn't bother going to physical therapy. She would call and cancel and say she was sick. Kevin and Samantha came and stayed with her at the house to help with the boys. She got up and went to the bathroom and took a shower and went downstairs and ate something and went back to bed.
“Sis?” Ethan asked.
“Sis?” Kenny asked.
“What?” Karly said.
“You eat anything?” Ethan asked.
“I ate something,” Karly said.
“The boys are down for their naps,” Kenny said.
“Thanks guys,” Karly said.
“No problem,” Ethan said.
“Just doing our uncle duties,” Kenny said.
“Hey guys,” Austin said.
“Hey bro,” Ethan said.
“Any news?” Kenny asked.
“Yes, I heard from Kev,” Austin said.
“What did he say?” Karly asked.
“That I'm coming home for good,” Luke said. Karly reaches for him and he sat down and took her in his arms. She cried as she buried her face in his neck.
“Oh god baby I missed you so much,” Luke said.
“How did you get out?” Karly asked.
“The results of her autopsy case back, they did one just to be sure, she died of a brain aneurysm, not by what Casey did, he choked her unconscious but the aneurysm was there before he touched her,” Luke said.
“Where's my brother?” Karly asked.
“I'm right here sis,” Casey said. He came in and sat down and hugged her. She cried as she rested her head on his shoulder.
“I'm glad you guys are home,” Karly said.
“It's good to be home,” Luke said. Casey, Ethan, Kenny, Austin, and Eric left the room. Luke closed the door and locked it and smiled at her.
“I'm going to take a shower, baby, and I will come lay with you,” Luke said.
“Please hurry, three days not being in your arms was brutal,” Karly said.
“I'll hurry, baby,” Luke said. He went into the bathroom and took a shower and came out with a towel around his waist and he smiled and dropped the towel and put boxers on and got into bed.
“I wish you could make love to me but probably not a good idea considering I got out of the hospital a few days ago,” Karly said.
“Hey how's rehab been while I was gone?” Luke asked.
“I didn't go, I called in sick,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“I didn't want to go without you,” Karly said.
“Okay I'm calling Steven,” Luke said. He called Steven and talked with him and hung up.
“Tomorrow at nine, a four-hour rehab session, you have to get caught up on the days you missed,” Luke said.
“Four hours?” Karly asked.
“Hey, you missed three days,” Luke said.
“You know why,” Karly said.
“Baby do you want to walk again?” Luke asked.
“Hmm I like you carrying me,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke sad.
“I like being in your arms, okay, don't you like holding me?” Karly asked.
“I love holding you, baby, I want to hold you and never let go, but I know you got frustrated because we had to carry you when you were on bed rest, let's get you walking again and I will carry you too,” Luke said.
“You better,” Karly said.
“Come here,” Luke said. He pulled her close and kissed her deeply. They began making out.
“I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you too,” Luke said. The next day they went to her rehab session.
“Morning you two, how are you feeling?” Steven asked.
“I'm okay now but I don't know about after, I'm sorry I didn't come in the last three days, there was stuff going on,” Karly said.
“It's fine, it gave me extra time with my daughter,” Steven said.
“Any news there?” Karly asked.
“I need to find a lawyer to file for a divorce and custody,” Steven said.
“We know a lawyer, he's the godfather of mine and Luke's sons, he works with my family's lawyer,” Karly said. Luke made the call while Karly got started. Kevin and Jack came in.
“Hey Luke,” Kevin said.
“Hi Luke, how's she doing?” Jack asked.
“This is her second time here, she missed the last three days because I was in jail,” Luke said.
“So why did you need us?” Kevin asked.
“Steven?” Luke said.
“Hello,” Steven said.
“This is Jack and Kevin, they are our lawyers,” Luke said.
“I need a lawyer, I want to file for a divorce from my wife due to an affair she had, and I want sole custody of my daughter,” Steven said.
“So, she doesn't want her daughter?” Jack asked.
“Given the fact that she tried to say she wasn't my daughter proved that she doesn't want to be a mother,” Steven said.
“He got a test proving she's his, can you guys help him?” Karly asked.
“Of course, we will, beautiful,” Kevin said.
“Come by our office after you are done here and we will get things in motion,” Jack said.
“Thank you so much,” Steven said.
“You're welcome,” Jack said.
“Okay see ya Luke, bye beautiful,” Kevin said.
“Bye Kev, Jack,” Karly said. They left and Steven looked at Karly.
“He calls you beautiful?” Steven asked.
“Yep, he has since college,” Karly said.
“So, who is he to you besides godfather to the twins?” Steven asked.
“He's my ex, we met in college, freshman year, got together and stayed that way until we graduated, he had a major in law and minored in photography, he had the opportunity to go to Paris for photography internship and I would have gone with him but my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer so I had to stay with her so we broke up as friends and then eight years later, after Luke and I got married, Kevin and I reconnected in Miami when he was the photographer for the photoshoot we were there for, I hired him to be the staff photographer for the agency and he became partner with Jack at the firm so he works both places, when I was pregnant with the twins, I had to go on bed rest because of a couple scares and my sister-in-law who was my partner didn't want to do paperwork that was required, I made Kevin a partner because he could do the paperwork so he and Luke's sister Hayley are running the agency since I have been having the health issues,” Karly said.
“So, you guys are friends?” Steven asked.
“He's my best friend and Luke trusts him, Kevin told him that he will not be responsible for breaking up a marriage,” Karly said.
“Well he did!” Steven said.
“What?” Karly asked.
“He was the guy who I found in bed with my wife!” Steven said.
“Whoa wait a second, are we talking about the same guy, because Kevin would not sleep with a married woman,” Karly said.
“Well he did one time remember,” Luke said.
“Oh, hush we both had clothes on, he was on top of the covers and I was under the covers so that didn't count,” Karly said.
“Oh right,” Luke said.
“I was talking about the sex part, that's not the kind of guy Kevin is, look I will have him come back and we can ask him, he wouldn't lie to me, I know him too well, he's got a girlfriend named Samantha,” Karly said. She called Kevin and he came back.
“What's up?” Kevin asked.
“Kevin, where were you three days ago?” Karly asked.
“I was home with Sam and my mom why?” Kevin asked.
“Steven said he found you in bed with his wife, now I know you wouldn't lie to me, so tell me,” Karly said.
“I am, Karly, I was with Samantha all evening and I was at the agency all day and I went home about five, my mom was home so she can vouch for me, I couldn't do that to someone's marriage, I told you Karly that I didn't want to be responsible for breaking up a marriage, anyone's, and I couldn't do that to Sam, we are in love, I love her,” Kevin said.
“Steven, do you have a picture of your wife?” Karly asked. Steven showed the picture of his wife and Kevin looked at it and shook his head.
“I never saw her before in my life,” Kevin said.
“He's telling the truth, Kev, I think you have a twin out there,” Karly said. A woman came into the room and saw them.
“Steven!” Hannah said.
“What are you doing here, Hannah,” Steven said.
“We need to talk,” Hannah said.
“What is there to talk about?” Steven said.
“Our marriage,” Hannah said.
“We are done, I'm filing for a divorce,” Steven said. She looked and saw Luke, Karly, and Kevin standing there.
“I want to speak to my husband alone,” Hannah said.
“They know what you did so no point of hiding anything,” Steven said.
“Who are you all?” Hannah asked.
“I'm Karly Stone, I was getting rehab done because I have a spinal injury,” Karly said.
“I'm her husband Luke,” Luke said.
“I'm Kevin, their friend and your husband's lawyer, I think I will stay and listen so I can put anything you say in the papers he's going to file this afternoon,” Kevin said.
“You seriously want to divorce me?” Hannah said.
“You slept with another man, Hannah, what am I supposed to do, look the other way?” Steven said.
“Steven it was a mistake,” Hannah said.
“Is this the guy you slept with?” Steven asked. He pointed at Kevin and she looked at Kevin and back at Steven.
“No, he isn't,” Hannah said.
“I'm done, Hannah, you go off and be with the guy, me and Daisy will be just fine,” Steven said.
“You want to take my daughter from me!” Hannah said.
“Our daughter and yes, you tried to say she wasn't mine, but a DNA test said otherwise,” Steven said.
“Fine so you want a divorce and custody of our daughter, fine, I will give it to you in one condition,” Hannah said.
“And what's that?” Steven said.
“One night with him,” Hannah said. She pointed to Luke. Steven glared at her. Karly looked at her like she wants to kill her. Kevin shook his head. Luke shook his head.

CHAPTER 265

They all stood there staring at Hannah like she was insane.
“So, let me get this straight, you won't fight the divorce or custody if you have one night with a married man?” Steven asked.
“Yes,” Hannah said.
“You are insane,” Karly said.
“Certifiable,” Steven said.
“I'm sorry but the only woman I sleep with is my wife, I don't cheat,” Luke said.
“There is only one cheater in this room, and you stare at her in the mirror every day,” Kevin said.
“Whatever I don't care anymore, you will hear from my lawyer,” Hannah said.
“You won't win, Hannah, my lawyer is standing right there, and he is going to put what you wanted to do in the papers,” Steven said.
“The odds are against you here, best you do what he wants,” Kevin said.
“Ugh!” Hannah said. She stormed out. Steven shook his head and looked at them.
“Should we continue or call it a day?” Karly asked.
“Let's continue and get you walking again,” Steven said.
“Okay I think it's time for me to get back on my feet,” Karly said. They went to work on her legs. Kevin talked with Luke and left. After the session was over, Steven helped Karly over to Luke.
“Kevin said to drop by the firm on the way home,” Luke said.
“Thanks man,” Steven said.
“Same time tomorrow?” Luke asked.
“Yes, see you guys tomorrow,” Steven said. Luke helped Kraly to the car and they went home. They walked in and saw Ethan and Casey playing with the boys.
“There's Mommy and Daddy,” Ethan said. Luke got Karly settled on the couch and she took Kingston in her arms.
“Hey little guy,” Karly said. Kingston snuggled into her arms. She held him close.
“I might give up the agency,” Karly said.
“Sis no,” Ethan said.
“Mom left it to you,” Casey said.
“Baby why?” Luke asked.
“I want to be a mom more, a full-on mom, not a mom that travels for work and has stuff happen, I want to be a stay at home mom,” Karly said.
“Baby, you are a great mom,” Luke said.
“Luke, look at what has happened since they were born, go to Miami, stuck in the elevator, it crashes, hospital, come home, hospital again due to allergic reaction to the pills, lose my memory, regain it three months later where I'm back in the hospital due to getting hit in the head, can't remember three months I had no memory, and went back in after falling down the stairs, I have not been a full on mother to my boys and I want to be,” Karly said.
“But you love the agency, you love being there, you wanted to go back,” Luke said.
“I got to thinking that maybe I shouldn't go back,” Karly said.
“Sis, you know we will support you no matter what, please don't make a decision you would regret, and we know you would,” Casey said.
“We love you sis,” Ethan said.
“If you are worried that you are tired of having us watch the boys all the time, don't be, we love doing it,” Casey said.
“Baby you know the boys can go with you to the agency, Hayley has Lacey and Seth with her, the boys can play with them,” Luke said.
“When can I go back, huh,” Karly said.
“As soon as the doctor says you can, when you can walk again and the baby is out of danger,” Luke said.
“You think I should not change anything,” Karly said.
“Baby, you love the agency, you were upset the whole time you were pregnant that you couldn't be at the agency and now that you will be able to, you don't want to,” Luke said.
“After everything that has happened,” Karly said.
“Baby, we can't change the past, but we can only look towards the future and now we will make sure nothing bad happens again,” Luke said. The doorbell rang. Ethan got up and opened the door and saw Steven standing there with his daughter.
“Hello, I'm looking for Karly and Luke,” Steven said.
“Come in, I'm Ethan, Karly's brother,” Ethan said. They came in and Ethan led them in the living room.
“Steven?” Karly asked.
“What's going on?” Luke asked.
“I'm sorry to come by like this but I need your help,” Steven said.
“What happened?” Karly asked.
“She had them killed,” Steven said.
“What who?” Casey asked.
“My ex, she hired someone to kill them,” Steven said.
“Killed who?” Karly asked.
“My parents,” Steven said.

CHAPTER 266

They sat there looking at Steven. Ethan took Steven's daughter upstairs to lay her down since she was asleep. Steven sat down.
“I came home and found them stabbed to death in the living room, there was a note saying that if I didn't let her have my daughter, there would be more coming,” Steven said.
“Luke,” Karly said. Luke nodded and went to make a call.
“What's he doing?” Steven asked.
“He's calling his friend with the NYPD who is a detective,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Steven said.
“There is something else you should know,” Karly said.
“What is it?” Steven asked.
“Luke is the King of the Stone Family Mafia,” Karly said.
“He's mafia?” Steven asked.
“Yes and I'm his queen, everything he does is legal, no drugs, he sells ammo, guns, and vests to the NYPD, that's why he's got friends on the force, he works with them on some cases,” Karly said.
“I want her to pay,” Steven said.
“There is a way to get her to confess,” Luke said.
“How?” Steven asked.
“Lure her to the family home,” Karly said.
“What,” Steven said.
“We have holding cells in the basement of my brother's house which was the house that Luke grew up in,” Karly said.
“I can get Drew and Sam and we can go grab her,” Casey said.
“Can you?” Steven asked.
“Do it, bro, Rames will meet us there,” Luke said. Kenny came home and they told him what was going on.
“Luke do you want me with you or stay with the boys?” Karly asked.
“You are with me, Rames has a couple of officers coming over to stay here with the boys and his daughter, Ethan and Kenny, you okay with watching the three kids?” Luke asked.
“Yep,” Ethan said. Kevin and Samantha came in with Amber.
“Hey Mom,” Karly said. She hugged Amber and introduced Steven to her and Samantha.
“The kids will be safe here, I'll sit with the little girl, I know how to use a gun if anyone tries to take her,” Amber said.
“Thank you, Mrs. Parker, she's my life,” Steven said.
“I won't let anything happen to her, I want to thank you for helping Karly get back on her feet, she's like a daughter to me, which is why she calls me Mom, she's called me that since I met her,” Amber said.
“You will always be a mom to me,” Karly said.
“She's become one to me too,” Samantha said. Amber smiled and hugged her. She went upstairs. Casey left to meet up with Drew and Sam after getting the address from Steven on where his ex was.
“I can use crutches, so you won't have to carry me,” Karly said. Luke got a message and nodded.
“They got her, let's go,” Luke said. Luke got crutches for Karly and they left and went to the house and went downstairs and saw Hannah sitting in a cell.
“Hello witch,” Karly said.
“Why am I here?” Hannah asked.
“Because of what you did, bitch,” Steven said.
“What did I do?” Hannah asked.
“You had my parents killed, you left a note saying to hand over my daughter or there was more to come,” Steven said.
“You have no idea how to cover your tracks huh,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Hannah said.
“We do know how to cover ours; I've killed a guy before and I didn't get charged for it,” Karly said.
“I saw her do it, too, right between the eyes,” Casey said.
“She wasn't scared,” Drew said.
“She was pissed,” Sam said.
“He deserved it and well you deserve it as well, Rames!” Luke said. Detective Rames came downstairs and saw her and smiled.
“Hello Hannah, I'm Detective Rames with the NYPD, got anything to confess?” Detective Rames asked.
“You're a cop?” Hannah asked.
“Yes, but don't bother saying you were kidnapped, I told them to bring you here,” Detective Rames said.
“So, you would let them get away with this?” Hannah asked.
“And go against the biggest mafia king in the city, not a chance, I would turn the other way, he has saved my life countless times,” Detective Rames said.
“What?” Hannah asked.
“My husband is the King of the Stone Family Mafia, he works with the NYPD and sells them their guns, ammo, and vests, if he or anyone in the family goes down, no more guns, ammo, or vests,” Karly said.
“You really screwed yourself this time, so make things easier for yourself, if you care about our daughter at all, do the right thing and admit what you did!” Steven said.
“Okay okay, I had someone kill your parents, I knew without them, you wouldn't have any support, I guess I was wrong on that part as seeing you have the support of the mafia king and his family and friends,” Hannah said.
“I didn't know he was mafia until before we came here, I got to know them while I was helping Karly with her rehab,” Steven said.
“He's become a friend,” Karly said.
“Rames, take her confession and find out who she sent to kill them and I'll send Drew and Sam to get the person,” Luke said.
“The guy's name is Danny Martin,” Hannah said. She gave them the address and Drew and Sam left. Rames put handcuffs on her and led her out after reading her the rights.
“Oh man, that's over,” Steven said.
“If you need any help with your parents' funeral arrangements, we can help,” Karly said.
“Thanks, I would appreciate it, I am still going to work until the day of it, I don't want to take time off,” Steven said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“Bring all the info on your parents tomorrow, your daughter can stay with us, if you want, you can stay as well,” Luke said.
“Probably should if he's been staying there, it's probably still a crime scene and he probably can't go back until they are done and it's all cleaned up,” Karly said. They went back to the house. They told Ethan, Kenny, Kevin, and Samantha what happened.
“I'll fast track the divorce for you, custody shouldn't be an issue, that's a slam dunk right there,” Kevin said.
“Thanks guys for everything,” Steven said.
“You are helping our sister get back to normal, it's the least we could do,” Casey said.
“I need to go lay down and get some rest,” Steven said.
“Third bedroom to the right, left side of the hallway,” Ethan said. Steven went upstairs. Ethan, Kenny, and Casey went to their rooms. Amber, Samantha, and Kevin hugged Karly and Luke and left. Luke locked up and helped Karly up to their room and they got ready for bed. He held her close as they laid there.
