Karly and Luke walked into the living room and saw them all arguing.
“ENOUGH!” Luke said. They all stopped arguing and looked at them.
“Thank you,” Luke said.
“Now who said Kenny had a date tonight?” Karly asked.
“It was on Facebook, Tanya has a sister who is in my class at school and she posted on my page that her sister and my brother have a date tonight,” Alyssa said.
“Obviously, she's wrong,” Kenny said.
“Son, what is it,” Rick said.
“I don't want to tell you all anything about having a date and all that because Mom, you make a big deal about it and Sis, you like to embarrass me,” Kenny said.
“I don't know why you make a big deal about him dating when I'm the oldest child, you should be focused on me dating,” Ethan said.
“He's my baby boy,” Angela said.
“Mom!” Kenny said.
“I embarrass you?” Alyssa asked.
“Yes, sis you do,” Ethan said.
“Sorry sis, but you do,” Kenny said.
“Okay, can we backup here and talk about this, Mom, let Kenny go on his date whenever it is and leave him be, same for you sis, he's grown up now, he needs to do grownup things,” Karly said.
“Okay you're right,” Angela said. The next day Luke got a call from Detective Rames asking for a meeting. Luke and Karly left the boys with Casey and Becca and went to the club. They walked in and saw Detective Rames with a older man.
“Detective, what's going on?” Luke asked.
“Charlie Tucker, name ring a bell?” Detective Rames said.
“No, who is he?” Luke asked.
“The guy I arrested last night,” Detective Rames said.
“The guy who wanted to kill my husband,” Karly said.
“Yes, this is his father, Dennis,” Detective Rames said.
“Let me guess, he wants us to get his son out of jail,” Karly said.
“NO, actually I wanted to meet the couple who put my son in jail and say thank you,” Mr. Tucker said.
“What,” Karly said.
“No one should have went through what you did last night, he took that gun from my safe, when the detective told me what his intent was with it, I told him to throw the book at him,” Mr. Tucker said.
“Are you for real, you want your son to actually go to prison?” Luke asked.
“Yes, why is that hard to believe?” Mr. Tucker asked.
“We have had a history with fathers paying off the cops or judge to make the charges go away,” Karly said.
“How so?” Mr. Tucker asked.
“I was attacked in college, a guy grabbed me and beat and raped me, they found him and he confessed and he wanted to pay for it but his father didn't want the family name destroyed by what he did so he paid a judge to throw out the case,” Karly said.
“He already ruined the family name through the mud, so I'm not worried about it, he needs to pay for his crimes,” Mr. Tucker said.
“I hope you are sincere about this because if you are lying, you won't want to face my husband when he's pissed off,” Karly said.
“I promise I am being sincere,” Mr. Tucker said.
“Karly, Luke, you can believe me when I tell you that he's telling the truth about what he said about his son, I can't lie to Luke, I owe him my life,” Detective Rames said.
“Okay, but I'm warning you, if you come after me or my family, you will join your son in jail,” Luke said.
“I know who you are, Mr. Stone, you are the King of the Stone Family Mafia, I definitely don't want to face off with you, my son should have known better,” Mr. Tucker said.
“Goodbye Mr. Tucker,” Karly said. He left with Detective Rames. Karly hugged Luke.
“I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you, too, baby,” Luke said.
“Let's go home to our sons, I want to spend time with them, I am not sure about taking them to Miami, I'll be working and you will be visiting Paul and Dev,” Karly said.
“It will be fine, baby, I can take Drew with us and he can help me with them, I know Paul and Drew will want to meet them,” Luke said.
“All right, I was worried about them going on the plane,” Karly said.
“It will be okay,” Luke said.
“Let's go home,” Karly said. They said bye to James and went home to the boys.

CHAPTER 228

Few days later, Karly, Luke, Drew, the twins, Kevin, and all the models were heading to Miami for the photoshoot. Henry and David had gone down early to make sure everything was set up for it. Matt and Dana took all the models on the commercial flight while Karly, Luke, Drew, Kevin, and the twins were on Luke's plane. Nicole was gushing over the babies.
“Oh my goodness, they are so handsome, I have to tell my husband that I want a baby soon,” Nicole said.
“You guys working on it yet?” Karly asked.
“Every chance we get so when it happens, I might not get to fly much so Jackie might have to take most of the flights,” Nicole said.
“Nicole, you guys get paid regardless of the plane being in the air so you can take off for a year if needed,” Luke said.
“I know,” Nicole said.
“Congrats on the marriage, how is it so far?” Karly asked.
“Amazing, we took a three-week honeymoon and toured Europe,” Nicole said. Luke's phone rang. He looked it and saw it was his mom.
“Hey Mom, what's going on, is Hayley okay? Say what now, no, Mom, I swear, you know I wouldn't do that, look have Dad look into it and take care of it, I'm on my way to Miami remember, okay bye,” Luke said.
“Luke?” Karly asked.
“What,” Luke said.
“What's going on,” Karly said.
“It's nothing,” Luke said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“It's nothing, baby, I promise, some business thing that my dad is looking into and taking care of it,” Luke said.
“Shouldn't Greg and Sam be doing that?” Drew asked.
“She said they are busy,” Luke said.
“I'll call Sam,” Drew said.
“Drew, it's being handled, Dad said he will look after things while I'm gone, he's bored sitting around anyways and it gets him out of Mom's way,” Luke said.
“Luke Stone, you better not be keeping things from me,” Karly said.
“I'm not, baby, but once I know more about it, I will tell you if needed to,” Luke said.
“Karly, Matt just texted me, their plane had to make an emergency landing in Washington DC and they will be directed to a different flight so they will be an hour or two later than scheduled,” Kevin said.
“All right, we aren't starting until tomorrow anyways, good thing I insist on going down a day early in case this happens,” Karly said.
“How are you feeling baby?” Luke asked.
“I'll be fine once you tell me what that call from Mom was about,” Karly said.
“Baby, we will talk when we get to our hotel room,” Luke said.
“Oh no, you won't talk, you will do whatever it takes to make me forget about that call,” Karly said.
“Baby, I promise you that we will talk,” Luke said.
“Talk now,” Karly said.
“Not until I get more information from Dad okay, I don't want to say anything until I get the whole story,” Luke, said.
“You better tell me everything, I mean it, Luke, you do not keep any secrets from me,” Karly said.
“I will, baby, I promise, I will tell you everything,” Luke said. The plane landed and they got off and Luke's phone beeped and he went and took the call. Kevin helped Karly with the babies. Luke came back and got the bags and they went to the hotel.
“I will get us checked in and tell them about the models being late,” Karly said. She went to the front desk. Kevin looked at Luke.
“Okay, man, what's going on?” Kevin asked. Luke keeps an eye on Karly as he tells Kevin what his mom told him.
“Not a word to Karly, I be the one to tell her,” Luke said.
“I know you love her and wouldn't do anything like that to her, she will know it's a lie too,” Kevin said.
“I hope so,” Luke said.
“She wouldn't leave you over something that's not true,” Kevin said.
“We shall see about that,” Luke said. Karly came back over and they went up to the rooms and Karly and Luke walked into theirs. She saw two bassinets set up.
“Luke, did you arrange this?” Karly asked.
“Wasn't going to have my sons sleep in their car seats the whole time,” Luke said. They got the twins out of the car seats and laid them in the bassinets where they went back to sleep. Luke took her hand and they sat down.
“Luke?” Karly asked.
“The phone call was from my mom, she says a girl showed up at the house, a former fling, saying she's pregnant with my child, about five months along she said,” Luke said.
“What Luke,” Karly said.
“It's not mine because Mom told me who it was, I haven't seen her in five years, my dad checked it out, paternity tests shows it's not mine and she admitted that she needed a father for her baby because the baby's real father cheated on her after she found out she was pregnant, I don't know why she thought of me but my parents told her that I am happily married and in love with my wife and have two boys and another baby on the way she saw Sam and my parents saw it,” Luke said.
“What?” Karly asked.
“The electricity between them,” Luke said.
“So, Sam is dating this former fling of yours now,” Karly said.
“I guess so, baby, I would never ever cheat on your or hurt you, you are everything to me, you and our boys are my life,” Luke said.
“I know, babe, me too, you are my everything,” Karly said. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly. They laid down on the bed and took a nap while the boys took their nap.

CHAPTER 229

The next day, Karly left Luke and the boys sleeping in the room and went to the location for the shoot. Kevin was there setting up his camera equipment.
“Hey Kev,” Karly said.
“Hey beautiful, manage to sneak out?” Kevin asked.
“Yeah, left the boys sleeping soundly,” Karly said.
“I hope Luke knows that when the boys wake up that he has to take care of them,” Kevin said.
“We talked last night about it, he knows,” Karly said.
“Hey, you two, so all the models are getting ready, where are the little guys?” Henry asked.
“Back at the hotel with their dad,” Karly said.
“I really wanted to see them,” Henry said.
“They were sleeping, and Luke was going to take them to meet up with his two buddies who run the clubs that Luke co-owns,” Karly said.
“Alone?” Kevin asked.
“Nope, with Uncle Drew,” Karly said.
“Hey sweetie,” David said. Karly smiled and hugged David.
“Hey, how's the pregnancy going?” Karly asked.
“Everything is going good, our surrogate's boyfriend is living at the house too, he's really supportive,” David said.
“I'm surprised that he allowed her to be a surrogate, I thought he would want her carrying his baby,” Karly said.
“He will get his wish after the baby is born, they hadn't talked about kids until after she became pregnant,” Henry said.
“He saw her belly and was like I want one with you, she said six weeks after she gives birth, they will start trying, he is planning to propose to her,” David said.
“Anyways, let's get to work everyone,” Henry said. They went on with the photoshoot. After a long day, the models went back to the hotel. Karly and Kevin went to the hotel and got on the elevator.
“Luke and the boys in the room?” Kevin asked.
“No, he just texted saying that they just got done at Paul's club and are heading back now,” Karly said.
“How's the little one doing?” Kevin asked.
“Good so far, haven't had much morning sickness so that's good,” Karly said.
Suddenly the elevator jerked to a stop and they saw they were between floors.
“Oh boy,” Karly said.
“Let me call the front desk,” Kevin said. He made the call and hung up.
“They have to get ahold of the maintenance crew, they don't know how long it will take,” Kevin said.
“I need to call Luke,” Karly said. She called Luke. He answered on the first ring.
“Hey baby, you back at the hotel?” Luke asked.
“Yeah, but the elevator is stuck between floors,” Karly said.
“Are you alone?” Luke asked.
“No, Kev is with me,” Karly said.
“Okay, did you call the front desk?” Luke asked.
“Kevin did, they are sending the maintenance crew but they don't know how long it will take for them to get it fixed,” Karly said.
“Oh man, baby, just hang in there okay, I'm walking in now and I will get them working on it,” Luke said.
“Okay, I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you too,” Luke said. She hung up and sat on the floor of the elevator. Kevin sat beside her. She rested her head on his shoulder. He rested his head against hers.
“I'm glad I'm not alone,” Karly said.
“Me too, beautiful,” Kevin said.
“How long do you think it will take?” Karly asked.
“It depends on what's wrong with it,” Kevin said. Karly's phone beeped and she looked at it and groaned.
“What is it?” Kevin asked.
“Luke asked them and they said it could take awhile like 24 hours tops,” Karly said.
“Oh great, did Luke tell them that his pregnant wife is stuck in her,” Kevin said. She sent him a text and he replied back.
“Yep,” Karly said.
“You are probably hungry right now,” Kevin said.
“I am starving, I was planning to order room service,” Karly said. Karly's phone beeped and she looked at it and gasped.
“Karly?” Kevin asked.
“Luke said don't move, one of the workers is above us and he opened the doors to the floor above us and one of the cables holding the elevator is split, if we move around, it could break and send the elevator down the shaft and we are between the forth and fifth floor,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Kevin said.
“This can't be happening,” Karly said.
“They will get us out,” Kevin said.
“I'm scared, Kev,” Karly said.
“Hey, I'm here with you, they will get us out,” Kevin said.
“I'm calling Luke,” Karly said. She calls him and he answers.
“Baby?” Luke asked.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“It's going to be okay, they are working as fast as they can,” Luke said.
“I'm scared,” Karly said.
“I know, baby, I know, they will get you guys out,” Luke said. The elevator jerked and Karly shrieked.
“KARLY!” Luke said.
“Luke, please tell them to hurry!” Karly said.
“Drew is telling them,” Luke said.
“Where are the boys?” Karly asked.
“They are with Cameron and Faith, they are fine,” Luke said.
“Luke, I love you and our boys,” Karly said.
“We love you too baby,” Luke said.
“If we don't make it out of here, take care of them please,” Karly said.
“You will make it out, baby, I'll make sure of it, you and Kevin will get out of there, don't you give up, baby, you are my queen, stay strong!” Luke said.
“I'm trying but I can't help it!” Karly said.
“Baby, I love you, stay strong,” Luke said. Her phone beeped and she looked and saw it powering off. She groaned. She put it in her pocket and leaned against Kevin. He wrapped his arms around her.
“Probably a good thing Henry and David helped onto your camera equipment,” Karly said.
“One less thing to worry about,” Kevin said.
“So Kev, been on any dates since that breakup with Susan?” Karly asked.
“Not really,” Kevin said.
“I need to play matchmaker,” Karly said.
“No you don't,” Kevin said.
“Kevin, I hate seeing you alone, you need someone to make you happy,” Karly said.
“I'll be fine, Karly,” Kevin said.
“Come on, any of the models catch your eye?” Karly asked.
“Nope, I'm not here to date them, I'm here to work,” Kevin said.
“Kev,” Karly said.
“One has caught my eye, okay, but she's taken,” Kevin said.
“Faith?” Karly asked.
“Nope,” Kevin said.
“Dana?” Karly asked.
“Nope,” Kevin said.
“Oh god, Kevin, not me,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Kevin said.
“Kev,” Karly said.
“You aren't a model anymore, so I don't think you count there, you did say one of the models, you are the boss, not model,” Kevin said.
“Who else is there, I would have thought most of the models were single,” Karly said.
“Are they required to be?” Kevin asked.
“No,” Karly said. The elevator jerked again. Karly shrieked and Kevin held her to him.
“Karly I have something to confess,” Kevin said.
“Kev?” Karly asked.
“I'm still in love with you,” Kevin said.
“Oh god,” Karly said.
“I have been fighting it ever since we met back up here in Miami and when it came out that your stepdad had a marriage license and we were married, I was in heaven, but I had to let you go because I knew you wanted Luke,” Kevin said.
“Oh god Kev no,” Karly said.
“I'm sorry, beautiful, I wish I didn't feel this way but I can't deny it anymore, especially now that this is happening, if they can't get us out of here, so I wanted to be honest with you,” Kevin said.
“Kev, deep down I feel the same way,” Karly said.
“I know your love for Luke is stronger,” Kevin said.
“It is, but I still want you in my life,” Karly said.
“I'm not going anywhere, beautiful, if we get out of here, I'm going to be the bestest best friend and godfather and uncle ever,” Kevin said.
“Kev,” Karly aid.
“Yeah?” Kevin said.
“Kiss me,” Karly said.
“Karly, no,” Kevin said.
“Please,” Karly said.
“Karly, Luke would kill me if he found out and I'm scared,” Kevin said.
“Why?” Karly asked.
“That I won't be able to stop,” Kevin said.
“Kev please,” Karly said.
“Karly, we can't,” Kevin said.
“I'm begging you,” Karly said. Kevin cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly. He rested his forehead against hers.
“Karly, that's as far as I will go,” Kevin said.
“Kev,” Karly said.
“Karly please we can't,” Kevin said.
“I know we can't deny how we feel,” Karly said.
“This is wrong and you know it,” Kevin said. The elevator jerked again and they froze. Karly went into his arms shaking. He held her as the elevator started shaking.

CHAPTER 230

They felt the elevator jerk and it started going up slowly but they heard a boom and the elevator fell and Karly screamed as Kevin held her tight.

Karly sat up and saw she was in the bed on the plane. She looks around and saw she was alone.
“Luke!” Karly said. Luke came in from the front and saw her and smiled.
“Hey baby, we are about to land in Miami,” Luke said.
“We are just getting there?” Karly asked.
“Yeah baby, you fell asleep after we took off and the boys are having fun with their uncles up front,” Luke said.
“Uncles?” Karly asked.
“Uncle Kevin and Uncle Drew,” Luke said.
“Oh,” Karly said. He sat down on the bed beside her on the bed.
“What's wrong?” Luke asked.
“I need to talk to you and Kevin about something,” Karly said.
“Okay,” Luke said.
“You are going to tell me what's going on back home,” Karly said.
“What,” Luke said.
“The call from your mother,” Karly said.
“How did you know about that?” Luke asked.
“I dreamt it, let me guess, a former fling needs a father for her baby and she's five months along and shows up at your family home looking for you claiming it's yours,” Karly said.
“Oh my god,” Luke said.
“Am I right?” Karly asked.
“Yeah baby, she's trying to say it's mine,” Luke said.
“But it's not,” Karly said.
“Nope, I couldn't do that to you, baby,” Luke said.
“We better get to our seats,” Karly said. They went up front. Kevin and Drew had the boys strapped in their car seats. Luke and Karly sat in their seats and buckled in. They landed and went to the hotel and got checked in.
“Kev, go put your stuff in your room and come to ours, Karly needs to talk to both of us,” Luke said.
“Okay, I'm in Room 788” Kevin said.
“We are in 786,” Luke said. They went up to their rooms. Luke noticed Karly was nervous on the elevator. He wrapped an arm around her. She leaned against him. They got to their flo and went to their rooms.
“Baby, you seemed nervous in the elevator, you okay?” Luke asked.
“Yeah, I'll explain why when Kev gets here,” Karly said.
“Okay, I got two bassinets set up for the boys so let's get them settled in,” Luke said. They took the boys out of the car seats an laid them in the bassinets and they went back to sleep. There was a knock at the door. Luke opened and let Kevin in and they sat down.
“Okay, Karly, what's going on?” Luke asked.
“The dream I had, it seemed so real,” Karly said.
“What was it about?” Kevin asked.
“Coming down here, Luke getting calls from his mom and dad about some former fling,” Karly said.
“Taken care of,” Luke said.
“Did the photoshoot and it took all day, we all went back to the hotel, Kevin and I were in a elevator heading to our rooms when it stopped between floors, they found out that one of the cables for the elevator was split and it could break any second,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Kevin said.
“We thought we weren't going to get out before it broke so we were confessing things,” Karly said.
“Karly?” Luke asked.
“Kevin confessed that he was still in love with me, I told him deep down I was too but my love for you was stronger but we kissed,” Karly said.
“What!” Luke said.
“Then they hooked up the elevator and it started going up but then something broke and the elevator started falling with us in it and then I woke up,” Karly said.
“Oh god,” Luke said.
“It was just a dream, that part anyway,” Karly said.
“When we come back from the shoot, we are taking the stairs,” Kevin said.
“I know you said it was a dream, but any of it real, like being in love?” Luke asked.
“No,” Karly said.
“No, Luke, I love her like a friend,” Kevin said.
“Same here,” Karly said.
“All right, I’m ready for a nap,” Luke said.
“Me too,” Karly said.
“Me too, see ya guys,” Kevin said. He left the room and Karly and Luke laid down on the bed and went to sleep in each other's arms. Karly woke up later and saw Luke gone from the bed. She went over and saw the boys still sleeping and she went out and saw Luke sitting on the couch.
“Luke?” Karly asked.
“Hey how did you sleep?” Luke asked.
“Okay I guess, I didn't have another dream or anything, I guess having you next to me kept those dreams away,” Karly said.
“So, the elevator broke and it fell down the shaft with you and Kevin in it,” Luke said.
“Yeah, we were between the 4th and 5th floor,” Karly said.
“Oh man, I'm glad it was a dream,” Luke said.
“I might tell the front desk to have maintenance check the cables on the elevators, don't want something like that happening for real,” Karly said.
“Yeah, who knows who could be in there, it could be us with the boys,” Luke said.
“I can't even think of it,” Karly said.
“Me either,” Luke said.
“Luke, you have to know that I love you more than anything in the world, besides our boys of course, you and our boys are my life,” Karly said.
“And you guys are mine, and this little one inside you as well,” Luke said. He put his hand on her stomach. She put her hand over his.
“You want it to be a girl, don't you,” Karly said.
“I want my little princess,” Luke said.
“I guess we will have babies until you do,” Karly said.
“I want as many as we can have,” Luke said.
“You do realize that I have to carry them right,” Karly said.
“We can use surrogates too,” Luke said.
“Luke, I'm perfectly capable of carrying a child but I want to limit it to five at least,” Karly said.
“I'm okay with that,” Luke said.
“And if they are all boys,” Karly said.
“Then that's that,” Luke said.
“I love you my king,” Karly said.
“I love you my queen,” Luke said. He kissed her softly and held her close as they cuddled together on the couch.

CHAPTER 231

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
She opened her eyes and looked around and saw she was in the hospital. She felt a hand in hers and she looked over and saw Luke sitting in a chair by the bed asleep. She moved her hand and he woke up and saw her and stood up.
“Thank god!” Luke said.
“I'll get the doc!” Drew said.
“Luke?” Karly said.
“Hey baby, thank god you woke up,” Luke said.
“What happened?” Karly asked.
“You were stuck in the elevator and they were trying to pull you up and the chain broke and the elevator fell to the ground with you and Kevin in it,” Luke said.
“Kev?” Karly asked.
“He's okay, too, he woke up this morning, you both been in comas for three months,” Luke said.
“Three months?” Karly asked.
“Yeah baby, you both were barely alive by the time they got to you guys,” Luke said.
“Oh god, Luke, the baby?” Karly asked.
“The baby didn't make it,” Luke said.
“Oh god!” Karly said.
“Shh, it's okay, it was not your fault at what happened okay, you didn't know that the elevator would break down and drop down the shaft, they did everything they could,” Luke said.
“I don't remember getting on it, I remember the plane ride down but it's fuzzy after that,” Karly said.
“It's okay, the doctor said you had some head trauma and could wake up with amnesia I guess it's spotty,” Luke said.
“The boys?” Karly asked.
“Your dad came down with Angela and the boys are with them, Alyssa is with Ethan, Kenny, Casey, and Becca at the house,” Luke said.
“Where are we?” Karly asked.
“Still in Miami, baby,” Luke said.
“Did I have any broken bones?” Karly asked.
“No, Kevin protected you, he had a broken leg and arm,” Luke said.
“Is he alone?” Karly asked.
“His mom is with him,” Luke said.
“How far up was the elevator?” Karly asked.
“It was between the 3rd and 4th floor, they said any higher, you wouldn't had made it out alive,” Luke said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“I was so scared that I was going to lose you!” Luke said. He kissed her hand. The doctor came in and checked her over.
“Am I still able to have kids?” Karly asked.
“Yes, you are able to, Mrs. Stone,” the doctor said.
“Thank you,” Karly said.
“I'm glad you are awake,” the doctor said.
“I don't remember being on the elevator,” Karly said.
“It will come back to you in time,” the doctor said.
“I am not sure I want to remember something that caused me to lose my baby,” Karly said.
“I am sorry we couldn't save your baby, but it was still too early for anything,” the doctor said.
“Does Dr. Reagan know?” Karly asked.
“I called her,” Luke said.
“I need my dad, I want to see him,” Karly said.
“He's coming,” Luke said.
“Where is everyone else?” Karly asked.
“I sent the models back home with Henry and David, he will reschedule the shoot when you and Kevin are back to 100%,” Luke said.
“Luke, I love you,” Karly said.
“I love you so much,” Luke said. He leaned down and kissed her softly. Rick came into the room.
“Sweetheart,” Rick said.
“Dad!” Karly said. Rick came over and hugged her. She cried against him.
“I'm so glad you're all right,” Rick said.
“I'm going to go check on Kevin,” Luke said.
“Okay,” Karly said. He left the room. Karly looked at her father.
“The boys?” Karly asked.
“At the hotel with grandma, they are fine, I think they miss their mother, Luke barely left your side,” Rick said.
“He hasn't seen them either?” Karly asked.
“Once a day, he would break away from here to come see them,” Rick said.
“Did Austin and Eric come down?” Karly asked.
“No, but we have been keeping them informed, Hayley is still doing chemo for the brain tumor and she and Eric did the marriage counseling and worked things out,” Rick said.
“That's good,” Karly said. Luke came back pushing Kevin in a wheelchair.
“He has something to tell us,” Luke said.
“Luke told me you can't remember being in the elevator,” Kevin said.
“Yeah, last thing I remember is the photoshoot,” Karly said. Kevin told them everything that happened in the elevator.
“I DID WHAT!” Karly said.
“WHAT!” Luke said.
“I know it was wrong, but in a way, that kiss helped me move on, that any type of love I feel for you is friend only, nothing more,” Kevin said.
“Are you kidding me right now?!” Luke said.
“Luke, I deserve whatever you want to do to me, but Karly deserves forgiveness because one she doesn't remember it and two, she's your wife and mother of your sons, she loves you more than anything, more than any kind of feeling for me, you are her everything, I'm just the best friend, nothing more,” Kevin said.
“Karly, I need you to be honest with me, are you telling me the truth about not remembering what happened in the elevator?” Luke asked.
“Yes, Luke, I'm telling you the truth, I don't remember it, that would be something I wouldn't keep from you,” Karly said.
“I need to get out of here,” Luke said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“Don't, Karly, just don't, I know you don't remember but it happened, I need to go before I say something I regret, I'm taking the boys and going home to New York, I need time to think about things,” Luke said.
“Luke, you can't leave your wife behind,” Rick said.
“Rick, if I don't go, I will say something I would regret later, and I don't want to do that, it's best that I go,” Luke said.
“Luke, I love you!” Karly said.
“I love you too, but Karly, you broke my heart,” Luke said. He went out the door. Karly covered her face with her hands and cried. Rick came over and took her in his arms as she sobbed against him. Kevin wheeled himself back to his room.
“I can't believe this is happening, I don't remember what happened!” Karly said.
“I know sweetheart,” Rick said.
“Can you call Austin?” Karly asked crying.
“Yes of course,” Rick said. He called Austin and told him what was going on. He hung up and looked at her.
“Eric can't leave Hayley right now so Austin is getting Casey and coming down leaving Becca with Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa, he said Eric will tell Peter and Barbara what's going on,” Rick said.
“Luke is everything to me, regardless of what I said and did in the elevator, Luke is the only one for me, I wouldn't lie to him, I told him the truth, I don't remember what happened!” Karly said.
“I know, sweetheart, I know,” Rick said. His phone beeped and he looked at it.
“Mom said that Luke and Drew picked up the boys and left your stuff with her,” Rick said.
“He'll keep them from me,” Karly said.
“No, he wouldn't do that, honey,” Rick said.
“My babies!” Karly said. She started sobbing again and Rick hugged her to him. She fell asleep crying. Rick sat down in the chair. Angela came in awhile later.
“I don't know what to do, she's devastated,” Rick said.
“I told Luke that he better not keep them from her, he said he couldn't do that to the boys, he just needs time to think about things,” Angela said.
“Austin and Casey are heading down, Eric is talking to Peter and Barbara,” Rick said.
“I told Ethan what's going on, he said he would tell Kenny and Alyssa,” Angela said.
“We just have to be here for my oldest daughter,” Rick said.
“Our oldest daughter,” Angela said.
“Sorry dear,” Rick said.
“I'm going to find out when she can go home,” Angela said.
“I'm going to ask Eric if he will send his company jet,” Rick said.
“How are Austin and Casey coming down?” Angela asked.
“I'll ask,” Rick said. Rick sent some texts and looked at Angela after getting replies.
“Austin and Casey are coming down on it so it would be comfortable for Karly to go home,” Rick said.
“What about Kevin?” Angela asked.
“Him too,” Rick said. They sat there watching Karly sleep.

CHAPTER 232

Karly woke up and saw Austin and Casey by her bed. They hugged her and she started sobbing again.
“We are here sis,” Austin said.
“Yeah sis, we love you,” Casey said.
“I thought you guys would hate me,” Karly said.
“Hate my twin, nope,” Casey said.
“Never,” Austin said.
“You will always have us,” Casey said.
“Always,” Austin said.
“I love you guys,” Karly said.
“And we love you, Eric said to tell you that he is thinking of you and wishes he could be here for you, he said to tell you he loves you,” Austin said.
“And Ethan, Kenny, and Alyssa said the same as well,” Casey said.
“Okay, so you will be able to get out tomorrow,” Angela said.
“And go where, probably not home,” Karly said.
“I talked to Luke, he said you can come home to the house so both of you will be there for the boys,” Rick said.
“But he wants nothing to do with me,” Karly said.
“He didn't say that, he said you two will need to talk when you get home,” Rick said.
“He wants out,” Karly said.
“Karly, he didn't say that either,” Angela said.
“I don't blame him after what happened in the elevator,” Karly said.
“Sis, it will be okay, I'll be there for you, and I talked to Becca, she is totally with you on this,” Casey said.
“What,” Karly said.
“She had a talk with him, she really laid into him about leaving you behind and not working thing out, she said he just sat there nodding and agreeing with her on some of the stuff she said, I know she's a former fling but she's my girl and knows where the line is and not to cross it,” Casey said.
“Tell her thanks for choosing a side,” Karly said.
“She said girls stick together,” Casey said.
The next day, Karly was released from the hospital. She went to see Kevin before she left.
“Hey Kev,” Karly said.
“Hey beautiful, you out of here?” Kevin asked.
“Yeah, I get to leave,” Karly said.
“Me, too, I'm going to take some time off and go home to Cleveland with Mom,” Kevin said.
“Okay, I wasn't going to expect you back to work and I'll have Austin call Jack,” Karly said.
“I did already, he understood,” Kevin said.
“Kev, thanks for being there for her in the elevator, we are just glad she wasn't alone,” Casey said.
“Same here,” Amber said. She hugged Karly. Karly hugged her back.
“You will always be a daughter to me, you know that,” Amber said.
“I know, Mom,” Karly said.
“Hi Mom,” Austin said.
“There's one of my boys,” Amber said. Austin and Amber hugged. Karly waved to them and they left. Austin took them to the airport and they boarded the plane.
“I can't wait to see my babies,” Karly said.
“They certainly miss you,” Angela said. The plane took off and Karly started out the window. Austin held her hand.
“It'll be okay sis,” Austin said.
“I'm not going to push, if he wants to talk, he can start first,” Karly said.
“Take it one step at a time,” Austin said.
“I'm going to sleep,” Karly said. She closed her eyes and went to sleep. She woke up and saw she was in a bedroom. She sat up and looked around and saw it was her and Luke's bedroom. She rubbed her head as the door opened. She looked up and saw Casey.
“Have a good sleep?” Casey asked.
“I guess I was tired,” Karly said.
“Yeah,” Casey said.
“Where is everyone?” Karly asked.
“Ethan and Kenny are at their classes, Alyssa is at school, Becca is sleeping,” Casey said.
“Luke?” Karly asked.
“At the club doing paperwork,” Casey said.
“I should get to the agency to do mine,” Karly said.
“Nope,” Casey said.
“Casey, I haven't been there for over three months,” Karly said.
“It will still be there when you are 100%,” Casey said.
“I feel fine,” Karly said.
“No, you don't,” Casey said.
“How would you know,” Karly said.
“Karly, I'm your twin,” Casey said.
“I'm not stupid, Casey,” Karly said.
“I never said you were,” Casey said.
“Where's a phone I can use?” Karly asked.
“Here,” Casey said. He handed her his phone and she called the agency and talked with Matt and he assured her that everything was good and they did all the paperwork for the day. He said something about the payroll. That no one was able to get paid. She says she would get Luke on it. She hung up.
“Call Luke and ask him if he can do the payroll for the agency,” Karly said. He made the call and hung up.
“He will go do it,” Casey said.
“I need to get back to normal, physically,” Karly said.
“You will,” Casey said. They heard the boys cry and he went and got them and came back and he laid them with their mom. She kissed their foreheads and cried happily.
“Mommy missed you guys so much,” Karly said.
“They missed you, that's for sure,” Casey said.
“I don't ever want to be apart from you guys again, Mommy loves you so much,” Karly said. They started yawning again and she laid down with them. Casey propped pillows up on the other side. Karly laid there on her side and watched them fall asleep.

CHAPTER 233

Luke came home after a long day at the club trying to catch up on the paperwork and going to the agency to do payroll to keep Karly from going straight back to work. He walked into the house. He knew they needed to talk. He found Casey waiting for him.
“Luke,” Casey said.
“Casey,” Luke said.
“The boys are in bed with their mother,” Casey said.
“Okay thanks,” Luke said.
“Do you need me to come with you to get them so you guys can have that talk,” Casey said.
“Okay, but only if they are awake, if they are asleep, I'm letting them sleep,” Luke said. They went upstairs and went to the bedroom and saw Karly asleep with her arm covering the boys who were still asleep.
“Even asleep, protective mom,” Casey said.
“Yeah I know,” Luke said. They went downstairs and sat down.
“Karly still doesn't remember what happened on the elevator and she told me she doesn't want to remember it,” Casey said.
“But it happened regardless,” Luke said.
“You are her husband, the one who has her heart, her complete heart, her everything,” Casey said.
“Casey,” Luke said.
“Kevin and Karly thought they were going to die in there, they had no idea if they would get out or they would survive the fall, so they confessed everything they hid from everyone, because they thought it would die with them, Kevin told me that she told him that although deep down she was still in love with him, you were her reason for living, that you're her heart and soul,” Casey said.
“I know, bro, where is Kevin, I need to speak with him,” Luke said.
“Then you will have to go to Cleveland to talk to him in person, he was released the same day and went home with his mom to recuperate there with her,” Casey said.
“Oh, I might have to close the agency until Karly is rested enough,” Luke said.
“She called and talked with Matt, they are handling things there, no one could do the payroll, they have the paperwork under control,” Casey said.
“OH GOD NO!” Karly yelled. They heard her scream and ran upstairs and saw Karly sitting up breathing heavily. Kingston and Jackson were waking up. Casey took the babies out of the room. Luke sat down and took Karly in his arms and held her as she sobbed.
“Karly, it's okay, you're home and safe,” Luke said.
“It all came back to me, what happened in the elevator, oh god what have I done!” Karly said crying.
“Karly, everything Kevin said what happened on the elevator, is it what he said happened?” Luke asked.
“Yes, it wasn't a deep kiss, it most like a soft kiss, a brief kiss, like how you would kiss on the cheek,” Karly said.
“Karly, are you still in love with him?” Luke asked.
“Not like I was in college,” Karly said.
“Karly, are you?” Luke asked.
“It's different than how I am with you, I don't know how to explain it but I want him in my life as my best friend, I want you and only you,” Karly said.
“Karly, I think we should do marriage counseling,” Luke said.
“What,” Karly said.
“Don't you see how it is?” Luke asked.
“Yes I do, but it shouldn't matter when my heart and soul belong to you, you are my everything, if I wanted to be with Kevin, I would ask for a divorce to be with him but I don't want that, I want to be with you and only you, I can't live without you,” Karly said.
“But can you live without Kevin?” Luke asked.
“What are you saying, you want me to cut ties with Kevin completely, never talk or see him again?” Karly asked.
“Even if I asked, you wouldn't,” Luke said.
“I can't lose him as a friend and I can't live without you period,” Karly said.
“This is going to be a long road back to where we were,” Luke said.
“Why, I'm not hiding anything else, it's all out in the open, Luke, I know it in my heart, you are my soulmate,” Karly said.
“And you are mine, that's why we need to work on this, I know it would kill me to let you go but we need help,” Luke said.
“I don't want to do marriage counseling, why do we need it, our situation is different than Hayley and Eric's, I didn't sleep with another man and you didn't sleep with another woman, yes I kissed Kevin but it was not really a kiss, more like a friend type kiss and I know I wouldn't go further than that, I would never sleep with anyone but you, I couldn't do that!” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“Why can't we just work through this without outside help, why bring in someone on the outside to sit and listen to us talk, what is the real problem here,” Karly said.
“You can't see it, you love your ex,” Luke said.
“Not like I love my husband!” Karly said.
“Karly, we have issues we need to work through,” Luke said.
“Name all the issues we have because only one I know of is what happened in that elevator when I thought we were going to die and we didn't want to have any secrets hidden but one thing I didn't want was leaving you and our sons!” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“I'll call Kevin and tell him to stay in Cleveland and never contact me again,” Karly said. She laid down and faced away from him.
“Karly, I didn't say that,” Luke said.
“I don't know what else to do!” Karly said. Her phone beeped and she saw it was Kevin calling. She put it on speaker.
“Hello?” Karly said.
“Hey beautiful, I'm calling to let you know that I'm moving back to Cleveland, Jack okayed me opening a firm here and I'll stay as photographer for the agency and do photoshoots, but my mom has been so lonely and I need to be here for her, she hasn't left the house and been working from home and going to Miami was the first time she's fully left the house for more than an hour,” Kevin said.
“I understand, she needs you,” Karly said.
“I know Hayley is still out so will you be okay?” Kevin asked.
“Yeah, I'll be fine, I got Matt and Dana to help so it will be fine, how's your recovery?” Karly asked.
“It's going good,” Kevin said.
“That's good, so if you are staying in Cleveland, bigger chance of running into Susan and your cousin,” Karly said.
“Nope, they moved to Seattle for his job and they are engaged,” Kevin said.
“Wow, moving fast huh,” Karly said.
“Especially since she's pregnant,” Kevin said.
“That is probably why they are getting married,” Karly said.
“Probably, anyways just let me know when Henry reschedules the photoshoot and I'll be there,” Kevin said.
“Okay, take care bye,” Karly said. She hung up and put the phone on the table and sat up and looked at Luke.

CHAPTER 234

Karly sat there looking at Luke. He sat there deep in thought.
“While I was asleep with the boys, I had another dream,” Karly said.
“You did?” Luke asked.
“The baby I lost, I dreamt that I gave birth and it was a girl,” Karly said.
“A girl?” Luke asked. Karly nodded as tears ran down her cheeks. Luke felt tears in his eyes.
“I shouldn't have gotten on that elevator,” Karly said.
“You didn't know that would happen,” Luke said.
“I lost our baby and it caused problems between us,” Karly said.
“The problems have been there, Karly, it just opened our eyes to see them,” Luke said.
“So, what now, Luke, how do we solve this?” Karly asked.
“You know what we should do, Karly,” Luke said.
“Marriage counseling, huh, it's that or nothing,” Karly said.
“Karly, it's what we should do,” Luke said.
“And you think tell a complete stranger about our life and problems is going to solve things,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“Why can't we just talk it out ourselves,” Karly said.
“Because we aren't getting anywhere with it!” Luke said.
“Look, we don't have to worry about Kevin being around because he's moved back to Cleveland, it's just us!” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“You know what, fine, we will go to the damn marriage counseling, whatever makes you happy!” Karly said. She laid down and faced away from him. He sighed and got up and went out the door. She closed her eyes as tears ran down her cheeks.
“Sis?” Casey said.
“He wants to go to fucking marriage counseling,” Karly said.
“Oh sis,” Casey said. He came over and sat down and took her in his arms and she cried on his shoulder.
“Kevin is moving to Cleveland to be there for his mom, he's not going to be around, Luke is everything to me and he said we have problems and what happened in the elevator opened our eyes to them,” Karly said.
“You know I'm here for you, sis,” Casey said.
“I know,” Karly said.
“I better get going, Becca's got a doctor's appointment,” Casey said.
“Okay see ya,” Karly said. Casey kissed her on the forehead and went out the door. Karly got up and got dressed and went downstairs and saw Ethan and Kenny in the living room. The got up and hugged her.
“Glad you are home sis,” Ethan said.
“We missed you,” Kenny said.
“I missed you guys too,” Karly said.
“Luke's in the home office on the phone,” Ethan said.
“The boys are sleeping,” Kenny said.
“Keep an eye on the boys for me, I need to get out of here for a little while,” Karly said.
“Okay sis,” Ethan said.
“Be careful,” Kenny said. Karly went out the door and went to the agency and went to her office and saw Matt and Dana sitting there doing some paperwork.
“Hey guys,” Karly said.
“Karly!” Dana said.
“Karly!” Matt said. They came and hugged her.
“I can finish the paperwork, guys, so go on home, you guys need the rest,” Karly said.
“Are you sure?” Matt asked.
“Yeah, go spend some time together,” Karly said.
“Okay, take care, Karly,” Dana said. They left. Karly sat down and worked on the paperwork. She was finishing up when Luke came in and looked at her.
“What are you doing,” Luke said.
“Working,” Karly said.
“You are supposed to be resting, you just got home from being in the hospital for three months,” Luke said.
“I got tired of resting,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“Just go, I'm fine!” Karly said.
“Karly, the doctor hasn't cleared you to go back to work,” Luke said.
“I don't care,” Karly said.
“Karly, go home,” Luke said.
“Nope,” Karly said.
“Dammit Karly, you are going home now,” Luke said.
“I don't have to!” Karly said.
“Yes you do!” Luke said.
“Nope!” Karly said.
“Karly, you need to go and rest,” Luke said.
“Why do you even care,” Karly said.
“What, why wouldn't I, you're my wife!” Luke said.
“Oh, am I really?” Karly asked.
“Yes!” Luke said.
“If I am your wife, cancel the freaking marriage counseling sessions that you have planned and we can work on it ourselves, no outside help!” Karly said.
“No, Karly, we have tried it and it's not working,” Luke said.
“Then why not just get a divorce!” Karly said.
“We can't!” Luke said.
“Why,” Karly said.
“The money!” Luke said.
“What about it?” Karly asked.
“You, Austin, and Eric don't get to keep the money if we divorce because of our issues, only if I cheat and that is something I will never do!” Luke said.
“You are being ridiculous!” Karly said.
“I'll make you a deal, one session and if it doesn't work then we will work on things ourselves,” Luke said.
“Whatever,” Karly said.
“Now get home, Karly,” Luke said.
“Nope,” Karly said.
“Karly Ann!” Luke said.
“Nope,” Karly said.
“Don't make me throw you over my shoulder and haul you out of here,” Luke said.
“You wouldn't,” Karly said.
“Want to try it,” Luke said.
“This is my agency, Luke, I haven't been here for over three months!” Karly said.
“I haven't been to my clubs up here for that long and they survived, so did the agency,” Luke said.
“Luke,” Karly said.
“Karly, please let's go home,” Luke said.
“Fine!!!” Karly yelled. She got up and stormed past him and got into her car and drove home and got out and slammed the car door just as Luke pulled in. She walked into the house and slammed the front door and went upstairs and slammed the bedroom door. Ethan and Kenny looked at each other as Luke came in and had heard her slam the bedroom door shut.

CHAPTER 235

The next day, they went to marriage counseling. They went through to the office and walked in and the counselor looked up and smiled.
“Luke!” Allison said.
“Oh great,” Karly said.
“Allison, hello, this is my wife, Karly,” Luke said.
“Hi,” Karly said.
“So nice to meet you,” Allison said.
“Let me guess, a former fling?” Karly asked.
“I was her first time,” Luke said.
“And the only guy I ever slept with, he was just a way of getting rid of my virginity, I am happily married to my wife, Jessica,” Allison said.
“Oh sorry,” Karly said.
“It's okay, I get it, any woman would drool over him but I'm not one of them, but I am honest,” Allison said.
“I can see that,” Karly said.
“I guess she's not happy about this,” Allison said.
“Nope,” Luke said. They all sat down. Allison looked at both of them. Luke explained why they were there and what happened in Miami. Karly closed her eyes as tears fell down her cheeks.
“I can see this from both points of view, Karly thought they were going to die so they needed to get everything out in the open, and having your ex as your best friend is probably not a good thing,” Allison said.
“It shouldn't matter because I was never going to leave Luke, he would always be the most important person in my life, I could have died that day but I didn't because I couldn't leave him or our boys,” Karly said.
“What?” Luke asked.
“Something I didn't want to say because I couldn't understand it myself, when I was in the coma, I saw my mom, she wanted me to come with her into the light, I was having an out of body experience and I could see the doctors working on me, I saw you begging them to save me, I saw how distraught and upset you were, begging me to hold on, I looked at my mom and she understood that I needed to stay and she disappeared, I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure what it was,” Karly said.
“Sounds like it was what you said, an out of body experience,” Allison said.
“Oh Karly,” Luke said.
“Can't you understand how much I love you and how much I want to be with you, that no matter what I feel for Kevin, that it's always you for me, that you are it for me, I married you, not him!” Karly said. Luke looked at her and closed his eyes and opened them and looked at her and crushed his mouth to hers in a deep kiss. Allison smiled.
“I guess that concludes this session,” Allison said.
“Thank you for your time, Allison, we are going home,” Luke said.
“You have my card if you need more counseling,” Allison said.
“Thanks bye,” Luke said. He pulled Karly out the door and they went home and walked in and saw Casey and Becca sitting with the babies on the couch.
“Another issue to be addressed,” Karly said.
“Later, hey you two, can you take care of them for the afternoon?” Luke asked.
“Yep,” Casey said.
“I guess counseling worked?” Becca asked.
“Yep later!” Luke said. He picked Karly up and carried her to the bedroom and closed the door and locked it and removed their clothes and he lifted her up and carried her to the bed where they made love off and on throughout the afternoon.
“God baby, I love you so much,” Luke said.
“I love you more,” Karly said. He pulled her close and kissed her deeply as they went to sleep.

Luke heard the elevator crash to the ground. He looked at Drew. Cameron and Faith came and took the twins to their hotel room. He ran to the doors and hotel security pulled him back.
“NO!! KARLY!!” Luke said.
“Sir, please let the rescue workers get them out!” Head Security guy said.
“Tell them to hurry! She's pregnant!” Luke said.
“Get the crew here now!” Head Security guy said. The firefighters and maintenance crew work together to open the doors. Drew holds Luke back. The paramedics went in and found Karly and Kevin.
“Get me two gurneys, they are both still with us!” the first paramedic said. The ambulance crew rushed past them with the gurneys.
“Drew, call the family and let them know what happened,” Luke said.
“Got it, boss, let them do their job okay,” Drew said. Luke nodded as they pulled Kevin out and wheeled him out. They pulled Karly out and wheeled her out the door. Luke followed. They stopped him from getting in with her.
“She's my wife,” Luke said. They nodded and he got in and took her hand.
“Baby, I'm here, you stay with me,” Luke said. They worked on her in the ambulance. She coded two times but they got her back before they arrived at the hospital. They wheeled her in and kept him in the waiting room. Drew came in with Henry and David.
“Luke!” Henry said.
“Almost lost her twice in the ambulance,” Luke said.
“She won't leave you,” Henry said. A nurse came and got him and took him to Karly.
“Mr. Stone, I'm going to be honest with you, I have never heard of two people surviving that type of fall, I'm doing everything I can for your wife, her injuries are very severe, she will be lucky to make it through the night,” the doctor said.
“Doc, she was pregnant,” Luke said.
“Yes, she was but the baby didn't survive, I'm sorry,” the doctor said. Luke closed his eyes as tears ran down his cheeks.
“I'm not leaving her,” Luke said.
“I didn't think you would so as soon as they are done, we will clear out and you can sit with her,” the doctor said.
“What about our friend, Kevin Parker?” Luke asked.
“Are you his family?” the doctor asked.
“He is my wife's best friend, her partner in the modeling agency, my twin sons' godfather, does that count?” Luke asked.
“His injuries are the same as your wife's injuries, only he has a broken leg and arm, can you get ahold of his family?” the doctor said.
“Yeah, I'll call his mom,” Luke said. Luke made the call to Kevin's mom and she said she would head out right away. He hung up and alarms went off and he ran to Karly.
“Karly, no, baby, you can't leave me or our boys, stay with us baby, please fight!” Luke said. The doctor and nurses ran in and pushed him out of the way as they went to work on her.
“Save her please!” Luke said. They worked on Karly and the beeping went back to normal and she was stable. He sat down after the doctor and nurses left. He took her hand in his.

Luke woke up and saw Karly asleep in his arms. He knew he couldn't live without her and he knew for sure that she couldn't live without him. He was never letting her go again. He kissed her forehead and went back to sleep.
