Luke sat there at the campsite talking with Casey and Austin. Rick, Ethan, Kenny, and Eric were fishing at the lake near the camp.
“I hope Abby's okay,” Austin said.
“We have phone service so we should get the call if something happens,” Luke said. Luke's phone beeped. He saw it was Kevin.
“Kev, is Karly okay?” Luke asked.
“Yes as far as I know, Angela and Alyssa are with her while I came to help Jack find anything on why Amy kept Casey a secret,” Kevin said.
“Did you find anything?” Luke asked.
“Yes, something big, Amy was forced to give up one of them, she didn't want to but she was forced to keep Casey a secret and give him to her sister, because her sister threatened her,” Kevin said.
“What!” Luke said.
“She wrote in this letter that Annie held a gun on her and made her sign off her rights to Casey and told her that she ever went back on the deal, she would kill Karly, Austin, and Eric,” Kevin said.
“Oh god,” Luke said.
“What should we do man?” Kevin asked.
“Call Drew and Sam and tell them to get to my house now!” Luke said.
“Should we call the cops?” Kevin asked.
“I will contact one of my detective friends,” Luke said.
“Okay man, I'm going to head home and Jack will hold onto this stuff and I'll meet Drew and Sam there,” Kevin said.
“Okay I will tell everyone and we will head back,” Luke said. Luke hung up and looked at Casey and Austin.
“What is it?” Casey asked.
“Annie was behind it all along, she threatened to kill Karly, Austin and Eric if your mom didn't sign you over to her,” Luke said.
“What!” Casey said.
“I'll get the others,” Austin said. He ran off as Casey and Luke packed up the camp.
“You didn't know about any of that?” Luke asked.
“God no, I would have killed her if I knew, she kept me from my sisters and brothers and father and mother,” Casey said. Luke's phone beeped. He looked at it.
“Son of a bitch!” Luke said.
“What,” Casey said.
“Annie is at the house holding Angela and Karly at gunpoint, Alyssa is hiding and sent me a text with what's going on,” Luke said.
“What,” Austin said.
“Let's go,” Rick said. They loaded up and headed back. Luke sent a text to Kevin, Drew, and Sam. He also texted his detective friend.
“I can't believe this, she was never like this when I was growing up, she was very loving and nurturing, I didn't think she knew how to handle a gun,” Casey said.
“We have to hurry, did you tell Kevin, Drew, and Sam about her holding them in the house?” Austin asked.
“Yes and a friend of mine on the detective squad of the NYPD,” Luke said. His phone beeped and he saw it was Kevin.
“They are safe, Alyssa snuck up behind her and hit her with a frying pan knocking her out, Angela got the gun and Drew and Sam came in and handed her over to the police,” Luke said.
“Thank god!” Austin said.
“Luke, I hate to say it, but I want her dead,” Casey said.
“If she gets out and comes at us again, she's dead,” Luke said.
“I'm moving in permanently if that's okay,” Casey said.
“I think your twin will be happy about that,” Luke said.
“So, I guess me and Ethan are going home,” Kenny said.
“You guys can stay, I still want to hang out with you guys,” Casey said.
“Dad?” Ethan asked.
“We are rescheduling the camping trip for next weekend,” Rick said.
“Awesome!” Kenny said.
“What he said!” Casey said.
“I'll go if Abby doesn't have the baby,” Austin said.
“Okay, so he's a maybe, hopefully Karly won't have any problems before then,” Eric said.
“I hope not,” Luke said. They pulled up to the house and saw Kevin talking with Drew and Sam outside.

CHAPTER 178

Karly sat there on the couch talking with a cop about what had happened when she heard voices outside. She looked and saw Luke run in and over to her.
“Karly!” Luke said. He knelt in front of her and hugged her. He rested his hands on her stomach.
“I'm fine babe,” Karly said.
“You sure?” Luke asked.
“Yeah I somehow stayed calm,” Karly said.
“I was scared baby, I heard she had a gun on you, and I had so many thoughts go through my mind,” Luke said.
“Hey Luke,” Detective Rames said.
“Hey Rames, thanks for coming,” Luke said.
“Not a problem, with all these statements, it should not be a problem bringing charges against her, she's going away for awhile, and she won't get by with an insanity plea, she knew what she was doing,” Detective Rames said.
“I hope she goes away for life, she could have killed my wife and unborn sons, my stepsister-in-law and stepmother-in-law,” Luke said.
“Sis!” Austin said.
“Sis!” Eric said.
“Sis! Mom!” Ethan said.
“Sis! Mom!” Kenny said.
“Angie! Alyssa!” Rick said.
“Sis!” Casey said.
“I got all I need, have a good night,” Detective Rames said. He went out the door as her brothers came in and hugged her. Rick held Angela and Alyssa to him. Then he came and hugged her.
“Oh sweetheart!” Rick said.
“Dad!” Karly said.
“Why did she come with a gun?” Eric asked.
“She said we stole Casey from her,” Angela said.
“She said Casey was her son and no one else's and he belongs with her and should forget all of us, that we didn't belong in his life and she wishes she could have killed Amy,” Alyssa said.
“She is crazy!” Casey said.
“She didn't know that Kevin and Jack found the truth behind it all,” Angela said.
“I don't get why she was so desperate for a child that she had to threaten our mom,” Karly said.
“She caused me years of my son's life and my daughter's too, that's why she took off instead of waiting, she could just have been wanting to confess all to me and was afraid that Annie was watching her,” Rick said.
“I wonder if she was unable to have kids of her own, she probably couldn't have one and sometimes that makes us do crazy things,” Angela said.
“But to steal our brother, she's insane,” Austin said.
“I am so tired,” Karly said.
“All right baby, let's get you to bed, have you done your walking today?” Luke asked.
“Just the walk down here and one trip to the bathroom,” Karly said.
“Okay, let's go baby,” Luke said.
“We will get going,” Rick said. Rick, Angela, and Alyssa hugged them all and left. Kevin came in.
“I'll head home then,” Kevin said.
“We are going back out to the campsite next weekend if you want to come stay with Karly,” Luke said.
“Okay,” Kevin said. He got his bag and left. Luke helped Karly stand up and Casey hugged her along with Ethan and Kenny. Austin and Eric hugged her. They left. Casey, Ethan, and Kenny went up to their rooms. Luke helped Karly to their room and they got ready for bed. Luke went down and locked up and came back and got into bed with her.
“I love you baby,” Luke said.
“I love you too,” Karly said. He kissed her and they went to sleep in each other's arms.

CHAPTER 179

Karly laid there in bed tossing and turning and she sat up in bed breathing heavily. Luke sat up next to her.
“Baby, you okay?” Luke asked.
“Yeah, I just can't get that image out of my head,” Karly said.
“You will baby, just one day at a time,” Luke said.
“I sat there staring at the gun and holding onto Angela, praying you would come in and take her out,” Karly said.
“I wish I was here to do that,” Luke said.
“What if she gets out?” Karly asked.
“She is being charged for what she did last night and what she did all those years ago, Kevin said that Jack was going to take your mom's letters to the police station,” Luke said.
“She could be charged for that?” Karly asked.
“She held your mom at gunpoint until she signed Casey over to her and threatened to kill you and your older brothers,” Luke said.
“I thought it being so long ago that it would be too late,” Karly said.
“It was not an active case,” Luke said.
“Oh,” Karly said.
“Plus, they ran the gun and it's not registered and it's stolen,” Luke said.
“She stole a gun,” Karly said.
“Yep and Casey cut all ties with her last night,” Luke said.
“I wonder if she's really our aunt,” Karly said.
“We could do a DNA test,” Luke said.
“I'm calling Eric,” Karly said. She got her phone an dialed Eric's number.
“Hey sis,” Eric said.
“Hey bro, did they keep Mom's blood work from when they did that test to see if it was her in the grave?” Karly asked.
“Yes, I asked them to just in case, what's up?” Eric asked.
“DNA test on dear Aunt Annie to see if she really is our aunt,” Karly said.
“If Mom wrote in those letters about her sister, would that be the answer,” Eric said.
“Unless she made Mom believe that, she could have lied to everyone,” Karly said.
“True, I will get it done,” Eric said.
“Thanks bro, love you,” Karly said.
“Love you too sis,” Eric said. Karly hung up and looked at Luke.
“Okay want to go sit down on the couch?” Luke asked.
“I want to go to the agency for a couple hours,” Karly said.
“You sure you are up to it?” Luke asked.
“Yes,” Karly said.
“Okay,” Luke said. He helped her up and helped her dress. She groaned.
“I'm going to need bigger clothes,” Karly said.
“You will be beautiful no matter what,” Luke said.
“You have to say that,” Karly said.
“I say it because it's true, I love you and you will always be beautiful, you are growing our boys in there,” Luke said. He ran his hands over her expanding stomach. She smiled.
“I love you,” Karly said.
“Let's go baby,” Luke said. They went downstairs and got breakfast and went to the agency and found Hayley and Kevin in the office doing paperwork. They looked up and saw them.
“Hey guys,” Kevin said.
“Hey bro and sis,” Hayley said.
“Hey guys,” Karly said.
“Hey guys, Karly wanted to come in for a couple hours,” Luke said.
“She can take over my part of the paperwork while I go check my camera and stuff, we have a photoshoot this weekend,” Kevin said.
“Okay,” Karly said. She sat down in the chair and began doing paperwork. Kevin went out the door. Luke sat on the couch.

CHAPTER 180

Karly finished up the paperwork and sat back.
“What is the photoshoot this weekend?” Karly asked.
“It's in the Hamptons, Matt and Dana's engagement party plus Henry's new swimsuit line,” Hayley said.
“I might have to check it out,” Karly said.
“Karly,” Luke said.
“I'll sit most of the time babe,” Karly said.
“I'm going with you,” Luke said.
“I wasn't going without you,” Karly said.
“I hope not,” Luke said.
“Besides I'll have two strong guys to carry me if I get too tired,” Karly said.
“Yep,” Luke said.
“Are you healed enough to carry her?” Hayley asked.
“If I can't, Kev can,” Luke said.
“I can what?” Kevin said. He came in and sat down.
“The party and shoot this weekend, she said she's going and if I'm not able to carry her out when she's tired then you could,” Luke said.
“Yep,” Kevin said.
“Well Karly, you rest as much as you can so you can walk out of there on your own,” Hayley said.
“I will do my best,” Karly said.
“What you don't like us carrying you?” Luke asked.
“It's getting to be a pain and I'm getting too heavy,” Karly said.
“Hey now don't be saying that,” Luke said.
“Luke I am carrying two babies inside me, I'm gaining double the weight because I'm eating for three,” Karly said.
“Luke, Mom and Dad said you weighed nine pounds when you were born,” Hayley said.
“Oh boy,” Karly said.
“Baby I can lift more than you weigh,” Luke said.
“You sure about that?” Karly asked.
“Karly stop okay, one of us can lift you if needed to,” Luke said.
“Okay I have a weight scale here, let's see how much I weigh,” Karly said. She got it out and stood on it and saw the numbers and sighed.
“Can you lift 199 pounds?” Karly asked.
“Yep,” Kevin said.
“Yep,” Luke said.
“With your shoulder babe?” Karly asked.
“Probably should let Kev be your carrier at the wedding,” Luke said.
“Thought so,” Karly said.
“It's not my fault that I got shot in the shoulder baby,” Luke said.
“I know I know, I understand, I don't want you overdoing it just as much as you don't want me overdoing it, let's go home,” Karly said. She put the scale up and he helped her up and waved to Kevin and Hayley and went out the door with Luke and they went home.



CHAPTER 181

Karly and Luke arrived home and she got settled in on the couch.
“Oh no babe, you can't go with me this weekend, the camping trip!” Karly said.
“Crap baby I forgot,” Luke said.
“Go with the guys, Kev can take me since he has to go anyways,” Karly said.
“You sure baby?” Luke asked.
“Yes, you guys need this bonding time,” Karly said.
“Okay if you are sure, you can call if you need me, I can drive separately so I can come back if needed,” Luke said.
“I'll be fine and I'll call if I need you,” Karly said.
“Hey guys,” Casey said.
“Hey bro,” Karly said.
“What's up?” Casey asked.
“Oh nothing just my hubby forgot about the camping trip and made plans to go with me to an engagement party of the two top models at the agency but he is cleared to go since Kevin is going,” Karly said.
“Are you going to be up for going, you are to be resting most of the time,” Casey said.
“Yes, I'll be fine, I'll probably be sitting most of time anyways,” Karly said.
“I called Dad over because there is something, I wanted to ask him,” Casey said.
“What's up?” Karly asked.
“About changing my last name to his,” Casey said. Kenny and Ethan came downstairs.
“You don't have to ask,” Karly said.
“Do it,” Luke said.
“Yeah bro,” Ethan said.
“Do it,” Kenny said. The front door opened and closed and Rick, Alyssa, and Angela came in.
“Hey everyone,” Rick said.
“Hi guys,” Angela said.
“Hey bros and sis,” Alyssa said.
“Casey has something to say,” Karly said.
“I'm changing my last name to yours, Dad,” Casey said.
“You are?” Rick asked.
“Yes, I don't want this last name anymore,” Casey said.
“That will affect your role as King of the Buckner Family Mafia,” Luke said.
“Not if we combine them, they join your family mafia and come work for you,” Casey said.
“We will call another meeting and put it to a vote,” Luke said.
“Okay, I will get it set up,” Casey said.
“Casey, I will be very proud that you will have my name,” Rick said. They hugged. Angela hugged him.
“You call me Mom okay,” Angela said.
“Okay Mom,” Casey said. Luke's phone rang. He went to answer it. He came back and looked at everyone.

CHAPTER 182

“Babe what is it?” Karly asked.
“That was Eric with the results of the DNA test they ran on Annie to see if she really your aunt, she is,” Luke said.
“Okay so that wasn't a lie,” Casey said.
“I also got a text from Detective Rames,” Luke said.
“What did he say?” Karly asked.
“Annie has been declared insane and sent to a mental institution,” Luke said.
“Faking to escape probably,” Karly said.
“I told him to keep her in a straight jacket and locked up tight and a tough as nails guard that can't be bought at her door,” Luke said.
“Is her husband still alive?” Karly asked.
“Yes, I talked to him, he's filed for a divorce and supports my decision to combine our mafia families,” Casey said.
“So, your guys want to come work for me?” Luke asked.
“Yes, they will, once I told them I was your brother-in-law, they knew I would want to join up with you and they would follow me,” Casey said.
“Okay,” Luke said.
Three days later, it was Friday and they guys were heading out to go camping. Luke packed up the SUV. Luke, Casey, Ethan, and Kenny were heading out together while Rick was going to get Austin and Eric and meet them there. Peter was going this time as well.
“I think that's all of it,” Luke said.
“You guys have fun and be careful,” Karly said.
“We will sis,” Casey said.
“We will sis,” Kenny said.
“We will sis,” Ethan said.
“Okay if you need anything, you call me okay,” Luke said. Kevin pulled up and got out with his bag.
“I'll be fine, got this big guy to keep me company,” Karly said.
“Yep,” Kevin said.
“Take care of our sis, Kev,” Kenny said.
“I will Kenny,” Kevin said.
“Okay guys, load up,” Luke said. Luke kissed Karly and hugged her tight.
“Get some rest baby,” Luke said.
“I will, be safe and have fun,” Karly said. He kissed her again and got in and they left. Karly walked into the house with Kevin and he picked a room to stay in and put his bag in it. He came down and sat in the chair.
“Ready for this weekend?” Kevin asked.
“I guess, I'm going to try to conserve my walking so you won't have to carry me at all this weekend,” Karly said.
“Okay just rest when you can, Matt and Dana know the drill so they won't let you overdo it either and they told their families as well,” Kevin said.
“Okay, thanks for staying with me,” Karly said.
“Of course, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here with my best friend,” Kevin said. His phone rang and he looked at it and picked it up.
“Hey man what's up, yeah, I'm at your sister's, what, you have got to be kidding, yeah I won't, I will, bye man,” Kevin said. He hung up and sat there.
“What is it Kev?” Karly asked.
“What oh it's nothing,” Kevin said.
“Kev?” Karly asked.
“It was just Austin telling me something, nothing for you to worry about, you just rest okay,” Kevin said.
“Okay but know that you can talk to me about anything,” Karly said.
“I know, K,” Kevin said. They got some dinner and watched movies before going to their rooms to bed.

CHAPTER 183

The guys arrived at the campsite and got everything set up.
“I hope we don't have to cancel again and run back home,” Ethan said.
“Me too,” Kenny said.
“Your mom and Alyssa are having a spa weekend and Karly is with Kevin so all is well,” Rick said.
“And I drove separate so in case there is a problem some of us can stay,” Luke said.
“There is something you all should know,” Austin said.
“Austin don't,” Eric said.
“He's her husband, man, he needs to know,” Austin said.
“You know what will happen,” Eric said.
“I told Kevin so he will handle it,” Austin said.
“What's going on boys,” Luke said.
“Nothing,” Eric said.
“Eric,” Austin said.
“If it's about Karly, spill it,” Casey said.
“Yeah,” Kenny said.
“Yeah,” Ethan said.
“Talk boys,” Rick said.
“Back in college, Kevin and Karly were together as a happy couple, Kevin had gone to Cleveland to visit his sick grandmother, Karly couldn't get away from school due to quizzes in her classes, anyways she was walking back from the coffee shop when she got attacked by some guy and he dragged her to a secluded part of campus and beat her and raped her,” Austin said.
“What!” Luke said.
“Someone found her and they saw the guy run away and police caught him after the DNA evidence was taken from Karly's rape kit at the hospital, but the guy got off because his dad paid off the judge to throw the case out and the guy went on with his life like he didn't do anything wrong,” Austin said.
“Son of a bitch!” Luke said.
“We were able to get a restraining order against him, his father allowed them, but he had his son transferred to Yale anyways,” Austin said.
“We found this out at the hospital when we arrived with our mom, the guy who found her told us what happened when he found her, there was cameras and caught the whole thing on video, well just him taking her from the path and off camera,” Eric said.
“Karly never told me this,” Luke said.
“She blocked it all out,” Austin said.
“She was traumatized to the point where she just forgot it happened and blocked it out of her memory,” Eric said.
“She suppressed it,” Rick said.
“We told Kevin when he came back, he hated himself that he wasn't there for her,” Austin said.
“We told him it wasn't his fault,” Eric said.
“Why are you telling us now?” Luke asked.
“He's in the city,” Eric said.
“He had a meeting with Eric,” Austin said.
“A business venture which I told him I would think about it and let him know Monday in order to keep him in town,” Eric said.
“I told Kevin and told him to call Drew and Sam and said to go get him and take him to the house,” Austin said.
“House?” Luke asked.
“My house,” Eric said.
“And do what with him,” Luke said.
“That is all up to you, Luke, he can sit and wait for you to come back but after the camping trip, he's not going anywhere,” Austin said.
“Okay he can sit there for the weekend,” Luke said.
“Luke whatever you do to him, I want to help,” Casey said.
“You got it,” Luke said.
“We all will have a hand in taking care of him for what he did to my daughter,” Rick said.
“Our sister,” Kenny said.
“Yeah,” Ethan said. They all went fishing and ate dinner and went to sleep in their tents.

CHAPTER 184

Karly woke up on the couch and saw Kevin coming in the front door.
“Where did you go?” Karly asked.
“Had to go get something from my apartment,” Kevin said.
“Oh okay,” Karly said.
“Do you need help getting up to bed?” Kevin asked.
“No, I can walk still, just walk with me,” Karly said. She got up and they walked upstairs and to the bedroom door.
“Thanks Kev, goodnight,” Karly said.
“Goodnight beautiful,” Kevin said. She went in and closed the door after he went to his room. She changed and got into bed and went to sleep. The next morning, she woke up and looked at her phone and saw a text from Luke with a picture of him holding a fish he caught.
“Great job babe!” Karly texted.
“Thanks baby, how are you this morning?” Luke texted.
“Missing you and being in your arms,” Karly texted.
“I miss you too baby,” Luke texted.
“I better get up and going, they party starts at noon and lasts until four,” Karly texted.
“Sit as much as possible whether it's a lounger or a couch,” Luke texted.
“I know I know, I love you,” Karly texted.
“I love you too,” Luke texted. Karly got up and got dressed and got ready to go and went downstairs and sat on the couch with her feet up. Kevin came downstairs.
“You look beautiful, K,” Kevin said.
“Thanks Kev, ready?” Karly said.
“Yep let's go,” Kevin said. They went to the location of the party and Karly sat on a lounger while Kevin took pictures. Matt and Dana came by and visited for awhile before going to mingle. Kevin took a break and sat with her. He went back to taking pictures while Karly watched everyone walk around and talk. Dana came over.
“Where's the bathroom?” Karly asked.
“I'll go with you,” Dana said. Dana helped her to the bathroom and waited while Karly went. She heard someone come in.
“Susan,” Dana said.
“Dana,” Susan said.
“Someone is using the bathroom right now,” Dana said.
“Who the fat chick on the lounger?” Susan asked.
“She's not fat, she's pregnant with twins and she's my boss so shut your mouth and if you say one more bad thing about her to me or anyone at this party, I will disinvite you from my wedding, regardless of you being my cousin,” Dana said.
“Okay I'm sorry,” Susan said.
“You better be!” Dana said. Karly finished up and came out and looked at them.
“Karly this is my cousin Susan,” Dana said.
“So you called me fat huh,” Karly said.
“I'm so sorry,” Susan said.
“I hope you are because I have five overprotective brothers who will be at the wedding and will do anything for me not to mention my husband and my father too,” Karly said.
“Not to mention she's has a couple of scares and is only allowed three hours of walking a day,” Dana said.
“I'm sorry Karly, I tend to talk before I think,” Susan said.
“Just try to do better please this day is about your cousin,” Karly said.
“I know and she's like a sister to me,” Susan said.
“I better get back to sitting down so I can be able to walk when I get home,” Karly said. Dana helped her out and back to the lounger and Karly got settled and Susan came and sat down and they talked and got to know each other. Kevin came over.
“K, you doing okay?” Kevin asked.
“I'm fine Kev,” Karly said.
“Dana said we didn't have to stay the whole time, we can leave early if you want to,” Kevin said.
“I'll let you know,” Karly said.
“Okay,” Kevin said. He went back to taking pictures.
“Is he your husband?” Susan asked.
“Um no he's my best friend now and he was my college boyfriend but we broke up after college, he went to Paris for a job internship and I had to stay back with my mom who had cancer and we didn't want to do long distance so we broke up as friends,” Karly said.
“Is he seeing anyone?” Susan asked.
“Not that I know of,” Karly said.
“Hmmm,” Susan said.
“You want to date him?” Karly asked.
“He's hot,” Susan said.
“Ask him out if you want,” Karly said. Susan smiled and got up and went to talk to Kevin. Dana came over.
“What's up?” Dana asked.
“She wants to date Kev,” Karly said.
“Really?” Dana asked.
“How is she with guys?” Karly asked.
“She has been hurt by guys in the past so she doesn't usually put herself out there until the right guy comes along so Kevin might be that guy,” Dana said.
“Maybe, I want him to be happy with someone,” Karly said.
“Maybe he will with her,” Dana said. Kevin came over and sat down.
“What's up?” Karly asked.
“Going on a date with her on Friday,” Kevin said.
“That's great!” Karly said.
“Be good to her Kev,” Dana said.
“I will,” Kevin said.
“I think I'm ready to go home, I'm tired,” Karly said.
“Okay I'll get my stuff together and we will go,” Kevin said.
“Thanks for taking pictures, Kev,” Dana said.
“No problem,” Kevin said. He got his camera put up and he came over and helped her up and they went back to the house.
